Sun Jul 20 | 08:32 | Noah Schultz Scratched from Start on Saturday |
Chicago White Sox pitching prospect Noah Schultz was warming up when something did not feel right, and he was subsequently scratched from his start on Saturday for Triple-A Charlotte with what is being described as right knee discomfort. Chicago's top-ranked prospect (MLB No. 15) was set to make his fourth start for the Knights, looking to improve upon his bloated 11.91 ERA and 2.29 WHIP that he's recorded so far through three starts at Triple-A. Before that, the southpaw had recorded a 3.34 ERA and 1.59 WHIP at Double-A prior to his promotion. The 6-foot-10 hurler hadn't shown control problems before 2025, but this year he's had the same walk rate betweenboth levels, coming in at 14.4 percent, which has given him a lowly 8.8 percent K-BB% for the year. It's not clear if he'll need to miss any additional starts, but a 2025 MLB debut is looking less and less likely. |

Fri Jul 4 | 00:58 | Noah Schultz Allows Four Runs on Thursday |
Chicago White Sox pitching prospect Noah Schultz allowed four runs on five hits and three walks while striking out four against Triple-A Jacksonville. The 6'10" lefty induced eight whiffs on 24 swings, but also allowed two home runs, with both of them coming off the bat of Graham Pauley. Schultz has now made three starts since being promoted to Triple-A on June 18, and the results have been shaky at best with an 11.91 ERA, 2.29 WHIP, and a 13:8 K:BB in 11.1 innings. The 21-year-old has relied heavily on his great fastball up until this point in his development, and will need to develop his secondary offerings to reach the next level. Schultz is ranked as the White Sox's current number one prospect on MLB.com. |

Thu Jun 19 | 23:58 | Noah Schultz Allows Six Runs In Triple-A Debut |
Chicago White Sox pitching prospect Noah Schultz took the loss against Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday, allowing six runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out five over 5 1/3 innings. The 21-year-old still generated 16 swinging strikes on 43 swings and allowed only two extra-base hits. He did give up a good amount of hard contact, but it wasn't all bad. Schultz held a 3.34 ERA in 56 2/3 innings at Double-A Birmingham but also owned an elevated 14.4 percent walk rate, which led to a 1.59 WHIP. The 6-foot-10 left-hander has serious upside but needs to improve his command as he ages. Schultz is currently ranked as the No. 13 overall prospect on MLB.com and likely won't be a call-up candidate until next season. |

Sat Jun 14 | 07:01 | Noah Schultz Promoted to Triple-A |
Chicago White Sox left-handed pitching prospect Noah Schultz is being promoted to Triple-A. Schultz is considered the top prospect in the Chicago system and the No. 13-ranked in the sport on MLB.com. Schultz has spent his entire campaign with Double-A Birmingham. Through 56 2/3 innings of work, Schultz has struck out 58 batters while posting a 3.34 ERA with a 1.59 WHIP. His command has been an issue as he has allowed 36 free passes. Last season, the left-hander spent time with High-A before earning the call to Double-A. During his first taste of Double-A, Schultz was very effective, posting a 1.48 ERA with a stellar 1.02 WHIP. During this stretch, the former 26th overall pick tallied 73 punchouts in 61 innings. He is now one stop away from the majors and could earn a late-season taste if he finds his footing at Triple-A. |

Tue Jun 3 | 15:35 | Noah Schultz Strikes Out Four in Latest Start |
Chicago White Sox pitching prospect Noah Schultz allowed one earned run on six hits and two walks while striking out four over five inningsof work in his latest start at Double-A Birmingham this past Friday. The performance lowered his season-long ERA to 3.72 and now has 47 strikeouts in 46 innings pitched, but Chicago's top prospect still ownsa high 1.63 WHIP. In his previous start, the lefty tossed five innings of one-hit ball with four strikeouts, but it came with three walks. Coming into 2025, the former first-round draft pick owned a 6.5 percent walk rate, so to see him with a 13.7 percent walk rate this year is a bit surprising. Nevertheless, if he continues to limit the damage and strike batters out, some time at Triple-A later in the year is likely, and a late-season debut with the big league club is still on the table. |

Chicago White Sox left-handed pitching prospect Noah Schultz struck out a season-high seven batters during his start against Double-A Chattanooga on Tuesday evening. However, he may be able to carry Tuesday's momentum into his next start. Last season, Schultz spent most of his time with Double-A, but performed much better, boasting a 1.48 ERA with a 1.02 WHIP. He should reach Triple-A in the coming months if he continues to find his footing. |
