Sat Jun 1407:41George Klassen Tosses Six Two-Hit Frames
Los Angeles Angels right-handed pitching prospect George Klassen tossed six shutout frames en route to picking up the victory over Double-A Pensacola on Friday. In this outing, Klassen allowed just two hits and one walk. He struck out five. This was a nice bounce-back outing for Klassen as he allowed 14 runs (13 earned) over his last three starts (8 2/3 innings). However, prior to this slump, the No. 3-ranked prospect in the system posted a 3.86 ERA and a 1.21 WHIP over his first 25 2/3 innings of work. Through 40 1/3 total frames, Klassen has struck out 49 batters and held a modest 5.36 ERA. However, his slump in early June has inflated his ratios. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his progression as the former sixth-round pick could earn a second-half taste of Triple-A.

Wed Apr 2300:28George Klassen Strikes Out Nine In Latest Double-A Start
Los Angeles Angels pitching prospect George Klassen tossed 5 1/3 shutout innings for Double-A Rocket City on Tuesday, allowing three hits and one walk while striking out nine batters. It marked the third consecutive dominant outing from the righty, who yielded just one earned run on 11 hits and three walks while striking out 22 over those three starts (13 1/3 innings). The 6-foot-2 hurler could pitch his way to Triple-A by season's end, but he isn't expected to make his big-league debut until sometime in 2026. Still, with a 34.9 percent strikeout rate in 26 minor-league starts, the Angels' third-ranked prospect is a player dynasty managers should be keeping tabs on.

Thu Apr 1711:26George Klassen Strikes Out Eight On Wednesday
Los Angeles Angels pitching prospect George Klassen tossed five innings of one-run ball on Wednesday against Double-A Montgomery. He allowed five hits, no walks, and tallied a season-best eight punchouts. This was a strong bounce-back outing for Klassen as he allowed five runs (zero earned) and six runs (all earned) over his first two starts of the season, respectively. Across those two outings, Klassen tallied just seven punchouts across five 2/3 innings of work. Klassen is considered the No. 3-ranked prospect in the Angels system on MLB Pipeline. Last summer, the Minnesota product split time with Low-A, High-A Jersey Shore before moving up to Double-A Rocket City. Across 93 total innings, Klassen held a solid 3.10 ERA with a 1.18 WHIP. He could be in the mix to make his Triple-A debut later this summer.
