Sat Jun 21 | 18:52 | Landen Roupp Throws Six Shutout Innings |
San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Landen Roupp looked strong on the mound during Saturday's game against the Boston Red Sox. It's nice to see Roupp rebounding after giving up six earned runs during his last outing. On Saturday, Roupp tossed six shutout innings, allowing three hits, three walks, and struck out seven batters in the win. Roupp has shown flashes of being solid, but still remains an inconsistent option. He could be worth looking at as a streaming option in a favorable outing against the Chicago White Sox next week. However, Roupp isn't someone that needs to be rostered in most fantasy formats right now. |

Sun Jun 8 | 22:50 | Landen Roupp Evens Record at 4-4 with Victory Against Braves |
San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Landen Roupp allowed five hits and three earned runs over six innings pitched in Sunday's 4-3 win against the Atlanta Braves. He struck out two and walked two to notch his sixth quality start in 13 appearances. The UNC Wilmington alum registered just three swings-and-misses in this one, which is unusual for him, considering his curveball had a greater than 40% whiff rate on the season. Still, he notched his seventh straight start yielding three earned runs or fewer. Roupp has been a pleasant surprise in 2025, limiting hard-hit balls at a top 7% rate in the league. Furthermore, he's dropped the average exit velocity against him nearly two ticks to an excellent 87.3 MPH. He'll square off against a dangerous Los Angeles Dodgers lineup the next time he gets the nod. |

Wed Jun 4 | 09:59 | Landen Roupp Shuts Out the Padres on Tuesday |
San Francisco Giants right-hander Landen Roupp (3-4) was excellent on Tuesday against the San Diego Padres, throwing 6 1/3 innings of shutout baseball. He allowed four hits, two walks, and struck out five. He threw 63 of his 93 pitches for strikes, and for the second time this season, recorded an out past the sixth inning. Unfortunately for Roupp, Giants closer Camilo Doval blew the 2-0 lead in the ninth inning, and the Padres went on to win 3-2 in the tenth inning. His season ERA now sits at 3.18, and he is starting to establish himself as a reliable MLB starter. At this point, fantasy managers can continue to deploy Roupp in their starting lineups until he proves otherwise. Roupp would be on regular rest for Sunday's game against Atlanta if Justin Verlander is not activated from the injured list. |

Fri May 23 | 23:25 | Landen Roupp Shuts Down Nationals in Victory |
San Francisco Giants right-hander Landen Roupp (3-3) stymied the Washington Nationals in a 4-0 win on Friday. Roupp tossed six innings of five-hit ball with two strikeouts and two walks to rack up his third quality start of the season. He picked up his third win of the season. The 26-year-old has taken the hill 10 times this season and has allowed three or fewer earned runs on eight occasions. He now owns a solid 3.63 ERA with 49 strikeouts against 18 walks over 52 innings. Roupp's next scheduled start will come on the road Wednesday against Detroit, whose offense has been among the majors' best this year. |

Sun Apr 20 | 06:35 | Landen Roupp Earns Second Win Of The Season |
San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Landen Roupp had another strong start on Saturday night, holding the Angels to just two runs on five hits over seven innings. He had nine strikeouts and limited the damage to just a pair of solo home runs by Mike Trout. This was Roupp's longest outing of the year and his second straight victory. He has compiled a 4.09 ERA and 3.25 FIP across 22 innings with an impressive 11.9 K/9. The 26-year-old has made a successful transition from the bullpen to the rotation so far this season, and he is a good streaming and NL-only option against the Brewers for his next start on Thursday. If he keeps posting outings like this one, he'll soon be mixed-league material as well. |

Mon Mar 24 | 19:39 | Landen Roupp Wins Fifth Starter Spot |
San Francisco Giants pitcher Landen Roupp has earned the fifth spot in the starting rotation to begin the season. It was down to Roupp or Hayden Birdsong, but manager Bob Melvin confirmed on Monday that Roupp will get the final spot in the rotation. Roupp has been extremely impressive this season and is well deserving of this chance. Last season, Roupp posted a 3.58 ERA, 1,37 WHIP, and 47/26 K/BB ratio across 23 games (four starts) with the Giants. He's someone that should have fantasy value right away in most formats, assuming he's able to adjust to being a full-time starter. Birdsong will see his fantasy value take a hit with the shift to the bullpen. |

Thu Feb 20 | 16:40 | Landen Roupp To Start Cactus League Opener On Saturday |
San Francisco Giants right-hander Landen Roupp will start the team's Cactus League opener on Saturday against the Texas Rangers and will likely throw two innings. Roupp will kick things off for the Giants this weekend after making his major-league debut in 2024 and going 1-2 with a 3.58 ERA (3.42 FIP), a 1.37 WHIP and 47:26 K:BB in 50 1/3 innings over his first 23 appearances (four starts). The former 12th-rounder in 2021 out of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington struggled in relief early on last year after surprisingly making the Opening Day roster, but he looked much better later in the year in a closing role, albeit in a small sample size. The 26-year-old relies on a sinker-curveball mix to generate ground balls. It's unlikely that he'll make the club's Opening Day starting rotation, but Roupp could be an interesting and cheap deep-league DFS streamer if he gets starts again at some point. |

Tue Sep 10 2024 | 12:37 | Landen Roupp Making First Big-League Start On Tuesday |
San Francisco Giants rookie right-hander Landen Roupp will toe the rubber for his first major-league start on Tuesday against the Milwaukee Brewers at American Family Field. Roupp has made 19 appearances out of the bullpen for the Giants in his first season in the majors in 2024 and has pitched to a 3.41 ERA (3.40 FIP) with a 1.36 WHIP, 33 strikeouts and 19 walks in 31 2/3 innings pitched. The 26-year-old went a season-high four innings out of the bullpen his last time out on Sept. 5 against the Arizona Diamondbacks, allowing no runs while walking two and striking out five. Roupp hasn't gone more than four innings in any of his outings with San Fran or at Triple-A Sacramento before his call-up, so fantasy managers should be looking to avoid the rookie as a streamer on Tuesday, especially against the first-place Brew Crew. |
