Mon Jul 1414:51Cam Collier Gets on Base Five Times on Sunday
Cincinnati Reds third base prospect Cam Collier went 3-for-3 with three singles, two walks, and an RBI for Double-A Chattanooga on Sunday. The Reds' fourth-ranked prospect was promoted to Double-A back in mid-June, and since then, he's held his own, batting .293 (24-for-82) with five doubles and a 17.8 percent walk rate, but has yet to flash the home run power through 24 games at that level. In 45 games between High-A and Double-A, the 20-year-old is slashing .314/.434/.429 with a pair of home runs. The left-handed slugger got a late start to the season due to a thumb injury that could be sapping some of the power that led him to a 20-homer season last year, but hopefully it'll pick up in the second half. The former first-rounder should be knocking on the door to the majors late next year, so he's worth keeping an eye on in dynasty formats.

Fri Jul 1118:12Cam Collier Holding His Own at Double-A
Cincinnati Reds third base prospect Cam Collier has held a .296/.425/.366 line through his first 21 games with Double-A Chattanooga. Collier earned a promotion to Double-A earlier in June and has shown elite contact skills with a strong eye at the plate during his first look. However, his power has yet to translate to this level as he has tallied just five extra-base hits (all doubles). He has only struck out 20 times and drawn an impressive 15 walks. Earlier in the season, the No. 62-ranked prospect on MLB.com posted a .293/.370/.415 line with High-A before earning the promotion. Last season, the former 18th overall pick spent most of his season with High-A, where he held a .248/.355/.443 line. If Collier can begin to hit for power, he could be in the mix to earn a brief taste of Triple-A towards the end of the regular season.

Mon Jun 1622:31Cam Collier Headed to Double-A Chattanooga
Cincinnati Reds third base prospect Cam Collier is headed to Double-A Chattanooga. The 20-year-old injured his thumb in the preseason, which kept him out of action until June 4. Since then, the Reds' fourth-ranked prospect (MLB No. 71) has gone on to hit .293 (12-for-41) with two doubles and a home run over 11 games for High-A Dayton. The left-handed slugger spent all of 2024 at High-A, hitting .248 with 20 home runs as a 19-year-old, and likely would have started at Double-A this season if not for the thumb injury. The former first-round draft pick could be in line for a debut in the majors next season, so dynasty managers keep tabs on how he fares over the next couple of months.

Sun Jun 1509:26Cam Collier Hits First Home Run Since Activation Off the Injured List
Cincinnati Reds third base prospect Cam Collier went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run on Saturday for High-A Dayton. The 20-year-old injured his thumb in the preseason and completed a rehab assignment with the team's Arizona ComplexLeague affiliate, finally getting activated off the IL on June 3. Since then, the Reds' fourth-ranked prospect (MLB No. 71) has gone on to hit .306 (11-for-36) with a double, a home run, and a 5:7 BB:K in 10 games played thus far. The left-handed slugger is coming off a 20-homer campaign at High-A in 2024, and witha 13.0 percent walk rate, he posted a strong .355 OBP. With a good showing at High-A, he should be on his way to Double-A Chattanooga in no time, and MLB.com's top prospects list estimates an MLB debut next year. If that comes to fruition, his 60-grade power could be a fantasyasset, although he's not a factor in the stolen base department.

Tue May 2014:50Cam Collier Begins Rehab Assignment on Monday
Cincinnati Reds third base prospect Cam Collier (thumb) began a rehab assignment with the team's Arizona Complex League affiliate on Monday, going 0-for-2 in the contest. The Reds' fourth-ranked prospect (MLB No. 75) tore a ligament in his thumb during spring training and has been out of game action ever since. Once the 20-year-old completes the rehab assignment, he may be assigned to High-A Dayton, where he played all last season, but expect a promotion to Double-A later in the year. In 2024 at High-A, the left-handed slugger slashed .248/.355/.443 with 20 home runs in 119 games. If all goes well, the former first-round draft pick could make his MLB debut next season, and with his big-time power, Collier is a name dynasty managers should be keeping an eye on.

Mon Mar 1009:51Cam Collier To Undergo Thumb Surgery
Cincinnati Reds third base prospect Cam Collier (thumb) is set to undergo surgery on his thumb. The 20-year-old is expected to resume hitting in approximately 4-to-6 weeks. The former 18th overall pick in the 2022 MLB Draft was recently assigned to minor-league camp. However, with this operation, he will have a delayed start to his 2025 minor league season. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status as he could make his 2025 season debut sometime in May if he does not face any setbacks. Last season, the infielder posted a .248/.355/.443 slash line with 21 doubles and 20 long balls across 119 contests at High-A. He swiped two bags and held a 66:127 BB:K ratio. When he is cleared to return, he will likely open the campaign at High-A.
