Mon Aug 18 | 09:47 | Kristian Campbell Still Has Work to do in Triple-A |
Boston Red Sox utilityman Kristian Campbell has continued to play well in Triple-A Worcester of late, hitting .323 with a .943 OPS in 26 games since the All-Star break. When asked this weekend about Campbell's progress, though, Alex Cora was evasive and said, "I've been watching the at-bats," Cora said. "He's producing, but there's still work to do", Jen McCaffrey of the Athletic reports. Cora also went on to say that pitch recognition is something that Campbell needs to work on, and that it's hard to replicate in Triple-A, because the pitching down there is not as good as it is in the majors. Campbell was sent down to the minors in June after struggling at the MLB level in his first stint, slashing .223/.319/.345 with six home runs, 21 RBI, 24 runs scored, and a 27.4 percent strikeout rate over 229 at-bats. Campbell is still one of the Red Sox's top prospects, but at this time, he remains a dynasty stash. |

Fri Aug 15 | 00:21 | Kristian Campbell Goes Deep Thursday |
Boston Red Sox second base prospect Kristian Campbell went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and two additional runs scored on Thursday. Campbell started in left field in this game and has shown his versatility as a defender at Triple-A with multiple starts at different spots on the diamond. The 23-year-old has been surging so far in August, hitting .326/.420/.512 with two homers and two stolen bases. Campbell was demoted to Triple-A Worcester on June 20 after struggling for a prolonged period of time in the majors. He was slashing .223/.319/.345 at the time of his demotion and has been solid in the minors since. The strikeout rate is still higher than you would like to see at 26%, but he owns a .410 OBP and is trending positively. There's a good chance he comes back up to the majors before the season ends. |

Wed Aug 13 | 06:33 | Kristian Campbell Snaps Brief Skid at Triple-A |
Boston Red Sox infield/outfield prospect Kristian Campbell was able to snap his brief skid at Triple-A quickly. After riding an impressive 15-game hitting streak, the former top prospect went 0-for-9 across his next three games. After this short slump, Campbell bounced back in a big way, going 5-for-8 with a double and a home run over his last two contests. During his 15-game hitting streak, Campbell carried an elite .393/.469/.589 line with two doubles, three home runs, one stolen base, and a 12:7 K:BB. The Georgia Tech product opened the season with Boston but was sent back to the minor leagues after hitting a slump in May and June. However, given his strong play in the minor leagues and recent shift to first base, Campbell could find himself back in Boston soon. He is a top hitter to stash in all standard leagues. |

Wed Aug 6 | 06:59 | Kristian Campbell Extends Hitting Streak to 14 Games |
Boston Red Sox infield/outfield prospect Kristian Campbell continued to perform at an elite level at Triple-A Worcester. On Tuesday evening, the former top prospect extended his incredible hitting streak to 14 games. During this contest against Triple-A Buffalo, the Georgia Tech product went 2-for-4 with an RBI. During this 14-game stretch, Campbell has posted a remarkable .404/.483/.615 slash line with two doubles, three home runs, one stolen base, and an 11:7 K:BB. Campbell opened the 2025 campaign in Boston but was optioned after he hit a skid in May. However, in April, has was quite productive, holding a .287/.388/.460 line with an .848 OPS. Given his recent surge at Triple-A, he should be viewed as a high-end hitting prospect to stash in all formats. |

Mon Jul 28 | 06:59 | Kristian Campbell Tallies Three Hits, Continues Surge at Triple-A |
Boston Red Sox second base/outfield prospect Kristian Campbell enjoyed another productive outing at Triple-A Worcester and is making a strong case to return to the big league. On Sunday, Campbell went 3-for-5 with a home run. This performance extended his current hitting streak to eight games. During this stretch, Campbell has posted an elite .419/.486/.645 slash line with a double, two home runs, and a stolen base. In addition, since returning to the minor leagues, Campbell has also begun to see time at first base, which should present another path for him to return to Boston in the near future. During his first 67 games in the majors, Campbell flashed upside at times, but held an overall .664 OPS. He should be viewed as a solid stash option in all standard formats. |

Fri Jul 11 | 06:13 | Kristian Campbell Notches First Triple-A Home Run of 2025 |
Boston Red Sox second-base prospect Kristian Campbell was demoted three weeks ago to regain confidence and fine-tune his approach at the plate. In his 16th game at Triple-A Worcester, he finally notched his first home run. He went 1-for-5 with a three-run blast in Wednesday's 14-9 loss to the Rochester Red Wings. The overall results since Campbell's demotion remain a concern. He has produced just five extra-base hits across 72 plate appearances while striking out at a 31.9% clip, which is up from 27.4% during his time in Boston. He entered 2025 as one of baseball's most hyped prospects and showed flashes of his potential early on, though it's clear that more development is needed. The 23-year-old remains a firm hold in dynasty formats, but redraft managers can safely move on until he turns things around. |

Thu Jun 19 | 15:51 | Red Sox Sending Kristian Campbell to Triple-A |
ESPN's Jeff Passan reports that the Boston Red Sox are sending rookie infielder Kristian Campbell to Triple-A Worcester, according to sources. Campbell signed an eight-year, $60 million deal with Boston this spring and was hitting a strong .301/.407/.495 by the end of April. However, he's slashing .159/.243/.222 since then and will get a chance to reset himself at Worcester to close out the first half of the 2025 season. In addition to falling off at the plate since his strong start, the 22-year-old has struggled defensively at second base in Boston. At least until Alex Bregman (quadriceps) returns from the 10-day injured list, David Hamilton should continue to start at the keystone for the BoSox. Campbell is currently hitting .223 (51-for-229) at the big-league level with six homers, 21 RBI, 24 runs scored and two stolen bases. He'll almost certainly be back in Beantown at some point in the second half. |

Mon Jun 9 | 12:13 | Kristian Campbell Blasts Sixth Home Run |
Boston Red Sox second baseman Kristian Campbell went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 11-7 win over the New York Yankees. He also singled and drew a walk. The rookie bashed his sixth homer of the season in the top of the fifth inning off Yankees' starter Carlos Rodon, scoring teammate Ceddanne Rafaela to tie the game at two runs apiece. Campbell had an abysmal May in which he hit .134 (11-for-82), but he's already up to six hits in June and has tied his long ball and RBI total of last month in only seven games. It's the first time he's picked up multiple hits in back-to-back outings since the end of April. He's up to a .233/.323/.364 triple slash with nine doubles, 20 RBI, and 23 runs scored in his inaugural big-league season (58 games). |

Sun Jun 1 | 12:14 | Kristian Campbell Sticks at Second Base on Sunday |
Boston Red Sox rookie infielder Kristian Campbell is starting at second base and batting seventh for Sunday's series finale against the Atlanta Braves and right-hander Bryce Elder at Truist Park. Manager Alex Cora said earlier this week that Campbell was expected to make a start at first base in the weekend series against the Braves, but it's not going to happen. Abraham Toro will start at first on Sunday and is hitting cleanup for the BoSox. Campbell has been working out at first base as the club continues to look for other options at the position in the wake of Triston Casas' (knee) season-ending injury. Eventually, the 22-year-old should see some action at the cold corner, but it probably won't be enough for him to gain eligibility there in fantasy. Campbell got off to a nice start in his rookie campaign but has struggled since and is currently hitting .227/.314/.351 with five homers, 16 RBI, 22 runs and two stolen bases. |

Wed May 28 | 12:26 | Kristian Campbell to Play First Base This Weekend |
Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora said that rookie infielder Kristian Campbell will play one game at first base during this weekend's series in Atlanta against the Braves. Triston Casas (knee) is out for the season, and Romy Gonzalez (quadriceps) is still on the injured list, so the Red Sox have been mixing and matching at first base recently with Abraham Toro and Nick Sogard. Campbell will get his first test at the cold corner this weekend, but there's no guarantee the 22-year-old youngster will see enough playing time there the rest of the season to gain eligibility in fantasy leagues. After a strong start to his first season in the big leagues this year, Campbell, a former fourth-rounder in 2023 out of Georgia Institute of Technology, has struggled and is currently hitting .225/.312/.354 in 178 at-bats. He's batting .120 (9-for-75) with a homer, four RBI and 23 strikeouts in 19 games in May. |

Tue May 20 | 18:22 | Kristian Campbell Back in Lineup, Starting in Center Field |
Boston Red Sox rookie second baseman Kristian Campbell is back in the starting lineup for Tuesday's meeting with the visiting New York Mets at Fenway Park and will start in center field and bat fifth against Mets right-hander Clay Holmes. Campbell has been working out at first base recently in the wake of Triston Casas' season-ending knee injury, but manager Alex Cora said that the team is far away from using the 22-year-old at first in a game. It will not happen on the team's current homestand, and Cora said on a scale from zero to 10, there's around a "2.5" or "3" that Campbell is on his way to appearing at first base. The bigger issue for Campbell's fantasy managers is that he's gone just 4-for-47 (.085) with a homer, three RBI and 15 strikeouts in 11 games so far in May at the plate. He got the last two days off to clear his head, so hopefully Campbell can start putting up better at-bats and get out of his funk. |

Mon May 19 | 15:31 | Kristian Campbell on the Bench Again on Monday |
Boston Red Sox rookie second baseman Kristian Campbell is out of the starting lineup for the second straight game for Monday's series opener against the visiting New York Mets at Fenway Park. David Hamilton is starting at second and will hit seventh against Mets right-hander Kodai Senga. Campbell got off to a good start in his first year in the big leagues in April, but it's been a struggle for the 22-year-old at the plate so far in the month of May. He's gone just 4-for-47 (.085) with a homer, three RBI, one run scored, one walk and 15 strikeouts in 11 games since May 4 to drop his season line down to .233/.322/.387 in 171 plate appearances. Given his struggles at the plate recently, it seems unlikely that the Red Sox would ask him to move to first base after the season-ending injury to Triston Casas (knee). Hamilton has never faced Senga in his career. UPDATE: Nothing is physically wrong with Campbell, and he's expected to be back in the lineup on Tuesday. |

Fri May 16 | 15:48 | Kristian Campbell Seen Doing First Base Work |
Boston Red Sox infield prospect Kristian Campbell was seen doing some first base drill work at Fenway Park before Friday's series opener against the visiting Atlanta Braves, according to MLB.com's Ian Browne. The Red Sox asked Rafael Devers to consider moving to first base after Triston Casas' (knee) season-ending injury, but he refused, so the club is still searching for answers while mixing in Abraham Toro and Nick Sogard in at the cold corner with Romy Gonzalez (back) on the injured list. The 22-year-old Campbell has been fine offensively as a lineup regular in his first MLB season, but his defensive metrics at second have been lacking. Nothing is official, but if Campbell were to move to first base regularly, it would open up playing time at the keystone in Beantown for David Hamilton and Sogard. Sogard is starting at first in Friday's series opener against the Braves and left-hander ... [ More] |

Wed May 14 | 07:18 | Kristian Campbell Snaps Skid With Two-Run Shot |
Boston Red Sox second base/outfield prospect Kristian Campbell went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run during their loss to the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday evening. Campbell would go deep in the 11th inning. This was his fifth home run of his rookie season. However, entering this contest, the Georgia Tech product was riding an extended slump. Over his previous nine contests, Campbell went 3-for-34 at the plate with one RBI, 11 strikeouts, and no walks. However, prior to this skid, Campbell held an impressive .313/.420/.515 slash line with eight doubles, four home runs, two stolen bases, and a 30:19 K:BB. Fantasy managers should continue to view Campbell as a solid second baseman or outfielder in all formats. He will look to remain productive on Wednesday, facing Detroit ace Tarik Skubal. |

Sun May 4 | 10:46 | Kristian Campbell Returning On Sunday |
Boston Red Sox second base prospect Kristian Campbell (ribs) is returning to the starting nine on Sunday afternoon when the Red Sox face the Minnesota Twins. Campbell has been held out of action for the last three games due to this minor injury. However, the infielder has progressed well and will not face an extended absence. The top prospect will cover the keystone and bat cleanup. Over his last nine contests before his injury, the Georgia Tech product has posted a .324/.425/.529 slash line with four doubles and one home run. Through his 29 games in the major leagues, Campbell has performed quite well, holding a .301/.407/.495 slash line with four home runs and two stolen bases. Fantasy managers should view Campbell as a strong option this afternoon, and he is worth a look in DFS facing Minnesota right-hander Chris Paddack. |

Sat May 3 | 13:20 | Kristian Campbell Remains Out On Saturday |
Boston Red Sox infielder/outfielder Kristian Campbell (ribs) remains out of the starting lineup on Saturday when they continue a series against the Minnesota Twins. The top prospect has been day-to-day with rib discomfort over his previous three contests. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status leading up to Sunday's contest. If he is unable to make progress, the Red Sox could eventually shift him to the injured list. Through his first 29 games at the MLB level, the Georgia Tech product has been very productive, posting a .301/.407/.495 slash line with four home runs and two stolen bases. This afternoon, David Hamilton will get another start at the keystone. Hamilton is best to fade in DFS this afternoon, facing Minnesota right-hander Bailey Ober. |

Fri May 2 | 16:05 | Kristian Campbell Still Out On Friday |
Boston Red Sox rookie second baseman Kristian Campbell (ribs) remains out of the starting lineup for Friday's series opener against the visiting Minnesota Twins at Fenway Park. Campbell was scratched from Thursday's series finale against the Toronto Blue Jays as a precaution with sore ribs, and now he'll miss his second straight game. The good news is that the 22-year-old infielder's injury isn't considered serious, and he's being deemed day-to-day heading into the weekend. The former fourth-rounder in 2023 out of the Georgia Institute of Technology has settled in nicely as the team's starting second baseman in his first 103 big-league at-bats, batting .301 with four homers, 12 RBI, 18 runs and two stolen bases. David Hamilton will once again start at second and bat eighth on Friday against Twins right-hander Joe Ryan. He represents a low-upside DFS sleeper at the bottom of the lineup. |

Fri May 2 | 11:55 | Kristian Campbell Viewed As Day-To-Day |
Boston Red Sox second base/outfield prospect Kristian Campbell (ribs) is viewed as day-to-day heading into their weekend series against the Minnesota Twins. The budding star was stretched from Thursday's lineup due to rib soreness. However, this injury does not appear serious, and the Georgia Tech product could return to the starting nine as early as Friday evening. Campbell was able to break camp with the MLB roster and has enjoyed an impressive start to his MLB career, holding a .301/.407/.495 slash line with four long balls and two stolen bases. Under the hood, Campbell has generated a strong .364 xwOBA while drawing walks at an elite 15.4 percent rate. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status leading up to Friday's game. If he were to sit out, David Hamilton should see opportunities at the keystone. |

Thu May 1 | 18:20 | Kristian Campbell Scratched With Rib Discomfort |
Boston Red Sox rookie second baseman Kristian Campbell (rib) has been scratched from Thursday's starting lineup against the division-rival Toronto Blue Jays with right-rib discomfort, according to MassLive's Christopher Smith. David Hamilton will take over at the keystone and will hit eighth against Blue Jays right-hander Jose Berrios. For now, fantasy managers should consider Campbell day-to-day and check back to see if he's available to play in Friday's series opener against the Minnesota Twins at Fenway Park. The 22-year-old former fourth-rounder has held his own in his first MLB season to this point, hitting .301 (31-for-103) with four home runs, 12 RBI, 18 runs and two stolen bases. Hamilton offers limited DFS upside and has gone just 2-for-30 this year with a homer, two RBI and two steals. He has hit .143 in just seven career at-bats against Berrios. |

Mon Apr 28 | 12:52 | Kristian Campbell Stuffs Stat Sheet In Win |
Boston Red Sox second baseman Kristian Campbell went 2-for-2 with a double in Sunday's 13-3 victory over the Cleveland Guardians. The rookie was electric in the drubbing of the Guardians, adding a single, two RBI, four runs scored, and a steal. He's up to a .305 average now, with a .412 OBP and an .886 OPS through his first 27 major-league games. It's an excellent start to his career, as the 22-year-old's advanced eye at the plate has carried over into his first stint in the bigs. Campbell has reached base in eight of his past ten appearances, collecting four multi-hit performances over that span. Additionally, he's been impacting the ball better recently, notching three hard-hit balls over the weekend. |
