Wed Aug 1320:18Gustavo Campero to Miss Significant Time With High-Ankle Sprain
Los Angeles Angels outfielder Gustavo Campero (ankle) was diagnosed with a high left-ankle sprain and will miss significant time, according to MLB.com's Rhett Bollinger. However, Campero has not been ruled out for the rest of the season yet. The 27-year-old Colombian sprained his ankle on Tuesday night while trying to rob Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy of a home run down the right-field line. While nothing is official, it's more likely than not that we won't see Campero again for the Angels this year since they are becoming more of a long shot to make the postseason. With Mike Trout still not cleared to play defense and with Jorge Soler (back) still on the injured list, Bryce Teodosio should continue to start in the outfield in Anaheim. Campero has only played in 28 games in 2025 and has gone 10-for-58 (.172) with three homers, eight RBI and four stolen bases.

Tue Aug 1219:14Angels Place Gustavo Campero on Injured List With Ankle Sprain
The Los Angeles Angels placed outfielder Gustavo Campero (ankle) on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday with a left-ankle sprain and recalled infielder Niko Kavadas from Triple-A Salt Lake in a corresponding move. Campero will miss at least the next 10 days after spraining his ankle on the right-field fence on Monday night while trying to rob Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy of a home run in the eighth inning. The 27-year-old switch-hitting Colombian has played in only 28 games in 2025 in his second year in the big leagues with the Angels and has gone 10-for-58 (.172) with three home runs, eight RBI, nine runs and four stolen bases in his 66 trips to the plate. Jo Adell will man right field on Tuesday against the Dodgers and bat sixth against right-hander Emmet Sheehan. Mike Trout has yet to return to right-field duties, but that could change soon.

Tue Aug 1200:31Gustavo Campero Carted Off Field Monday With Leg Injury
Los Angeles Angels outfielder Gustavo Campero (leg) suffered what appeared to be a serious leg injury trying to rob a Max Muncy home run in Monday's game against the Dodgers. Campero leapt onto the right-field wall in the eighth inning and got his cleats caught up in the padding of the wall. He immediately went to the warning track and was carted off the field. Christian Moore came into the game in Campero's lineup spot to play second, and Luis Renfigo moved to right field. The 27-year-old put up great numbers at Triple-A Salt Lake and was getting an opportunity with the Angels, making his injury even more unfortunate. Fantasy managers should look for further news after the game.

Fri May 917:22Gustavo Campero Hits 10-Day Injured List
The Los Angeles Angels have placed outfielder Gustavo Campero (ankle) on the 10-day injured list due to left ankle inflammation. This transaction was retroactive to May 7. In a corresponding move, the Angels promoted outfielder Matthew Lugo from Triple-A Salt Lake. The 27-year-old suffered this ankle injury during Tuesday's contest against the Toronto Blue Jays. Campero joined the MLB on April 30 and has gone 2-for-10 through his first week of the season. He has swiped one bag and held a 2:2 K:BB. Last season, Campero made his MLB debut and held a .239 AVG across his first 13 games in the majors. While he is sidelined, fantasy managers should expect Taylor Ward and Jo Adell to remain the top options at left and right field. Lugo is the No. 13-ranked prospect in the system and could eventually earn a role in the outfield.

Mon Apr 2123:27Gustavo Campero Leads Minors In Hits After Four-Hit Day
Los Angeles Angels outfield prospect Gustavo Campero went 4-for-4 at the plate for Triple-A Salt Lake on Sunday, which included hitting his first home run of the season. The four hits put him in a tie for first place on the minor league leaderboard for most hits so far in 2025 with 29 of them, now slashing a robust .345/.404/.512 with 10 extra-base hits and six steals in 20 games. The switch-hitter slashed .279/.392/.472 betweenDouble and Triple-A last season with 14 home runs and 33 steals, culminating with a late-season call-up to the big leagues where he went 11-for-46 (.239) with a home run and a better-than-league-average strikeout rate of 16.7 percent. The 5-foot-6 Colombian is making the case for another call-up, and with his power-speed combo, he could have an impact in deep and AL-only leagues if he finds his way to regular at-bats, but the 27-year-old isn't a stash candidate at this time.
