Thu Jun 1901:44Jordan Beck Smashes Homer No. 9
Colorado Rockies outfielder Jordan Beck went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 3-1 road win against the Washington Nationals. The Tennessee alum also doubled and struck out. Beck delivered a solo insurance bomb off a hanging Jose A. Ferrer changeup in the eighth inning to extend his team's lead to 3-1 -- his ninth long ball of the season. Most of his underlying metrics have improved from his first stint in the big leagues last season, and he's particularly squaring the ball up well. The 24-year-old boasts LA SwSp% (37.4%) and barrel-rates (12.9%) in the 76th and 78th percentiles, respectively, with modest increases in average exit velocity (88.1 MPH) and hard-hit rate (40.0%). Furthermore, he's hitting both lefties (.288) and righties (.256) well.

Sun May 1808:49Jordan Beck Homers Twice in Three-Hit Game
Colorado Rockies outfielder Jordan Beck went 3-for-5 with a walk, a triple, and two home runs in Saturday's 14-12 win over the Diamondbacks, collecting three RBI and scoring four times in the process. Beck was 1-for-13 (.077) over his previousfour games coming into Saturday, but with his ability to draw a walk, the 24-year-old has now reached base at least once in 15 consecutive games. The multi-HR effort was his third of the season already, and the right-handed hitter has put togethera .265-8-16-24-5 stat line with a .386 wOBA and 133 wRC+ through 35 games played. Beck's strikeout rate of 27.5 percent is a bit high, but with his ability to get on base, steal bases, and hit home runs, he should probably be rostered in more than 20 percent of Yahoo! leagues, and his next seven games after Sunday will come at Coors Field.

Sat Apr 1913:45Jordan Beck Recalled From Triple-A
The Colorado Rockies have recalled outfielder Jordan Beck from Triple-A Albuquerque. In a corresponding move, the Rockies officially placed outfielder Brenton Doyle on the bereavement roster effective April 17. Beck was able to earn a spot on the Opening Day roster but was later optioned to Triple-A after he struggled during the early part of the campaign. Through nine games this season, the 24-year-old posted a disappointing .150/.261/.150 slash line with just three total hits (all singles). He generated a low .193 xwOBA with a .122 xBA, which were both well below the average marks. Beck carried these struggles into Triple-A as he held a .143/.189/.286 line with one triple and one home run across nine contests. Beck is starting in left field on Saturday afternoon and could find a part-time role in the outfield while Doyle remains sidelined.

Tue Feb 1801:07Jordan Beck The Leading Candidate For Right Field Job
Colorado Rockies outfielder Jordan Beck is said to have the inside track for the right field job in 2025, according to manager Bud Black. The former 38th overall draft pick had a successful minor-league career, slashing .284/.380/.509 with 36 home runs and 26 stolen bases in 194 games, but struggled in his major-league debut last season. The University of Tennessee product hit .188 with three home runs and a 35.3 percent strikeout rate in his 55-game audition while also spending time on the injured list with a fractured left hand. On the bright side, he did flash some speed, stealing seven bases in 184 plate appearances. ATC projections don't foresee a big season in store for the 23-year-old, but fantasy managers should keep an eye on him, as talented players calling Coors Field home tends to be a good thing for fantasy.
