Thu Jun 26 | 21:31 | Harry Ford Joining Big-League Club |
Seattle Mariners catcher Harry Ford will be joining the Mariners in Texas on Friday after catcher Mitch Garver took a foul tip off the jaw in Thursday's game, reports Daniel Kramer of MLB.com. Ford was initially scheduled to play a game in Triple-A on Thursday but was scratched from the lineup so he could make the trip. This doesn't mean that Ford is definitely being promoted, as the plan is to add him to the taxi squad so he's ready to step in if Garver needs to be placed on the injured list. Expect official word sometime on Friday after Garver's medical scan results are available. Ford has been very productive in the minors so far this season, slashing .311/.426/.469 with eight home runs in 60 games. The top prospect could be relevant in two-catcher leagues if he gets enough playing time. |

Thu Jun 26 | 00:55 | Harry Ford Walks Twice, Drives In Three on Wednesday |
Seattle Mariners catcher prospect Harry Ford went 2-for-2 with three RBI and two walks in Wednesday's 13-4 loss against Triple-A Round Rock. Ford provided nearly all of the offense for his team in this game, and continued his strong month of June. He's hitting .282/.402/.437 with a 12:14 BB:K in 71-at bats. The power output will be around average, but he has also produced a healthy number of steals throughout his time in the minor leagues which not many catchers can say. He is blocked at catcher by baseball's home run leader in Cal Raleigh, but could come up and make starts at catcher, first base, or DH later in the season. |

Thu Jun 12 | 00:24 | Harry Ford Homers, Drives in Six on Wednesday |
Seattle Mariners catcher prospect Harry Ford went 2-for-5 with a home run, double, and six RBI in Wednesday's 10-0 win against Triple-A Sacramento. Ford stuffed the box score and posted a career high in RBI. The 22-year-old has displayed a mature approach at the plate this season, with a 36:38 BB:K. His quality of contact has been promising as well, with a 45.6 percent hard-hit rate. Ford is ranked as the number 63 overall prospect in baseball on MLB.com. There's a decent chance we see Ford make his MLB debut at some point this season, with him seeing plenty of reps at DH. His combination of skills would make for a solid speculative add in most formats. |

Fri May 30 | 18:26 | Harry Ford Riding Six-Game Hitting Streak at Triple-A |
Seattle Mariners catching prospect Harry Ford has continued to produce at Triple-A. On Thursday, the backstop extended his current hitting streak to six games. During this impressive stretch, Ford has posted five multi-hit games with three home runs and 10 RBI. He has gone deep in each of his past two contests as well. Last summer, Ford struggled at Double-A as he held a modest .249/.377/.367 line with just seven round-trippers across 116 contests. Wed May 28 | 14:44 | Harry Ford On Fire in May at Triple-A |
Seattle Mariners catching prospect Harry Ford went 2-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored on Tuesday for Triple-A Tacoma. The 2021 first-round draft pick came into May hitting .209 (14-for-67) with two extra-base hits (one 2B, one HR), but has caught fire this month, collecting 11 multi-hit performances in 18 games and hitting .394 (28-for-71) with nine extra-base hits (six 2B, three HR). Seattle's fifth-ranked prospect has been a model of consistency at a grueling position, playing in at least 104 games in each of the last three seasons as he has methodically climbed the minor league ladder. In his first season at Triple-A, he's slashing .304/.429/.442 with four home runs and three stolen bases. The 22-year-old stole 35 bags in 2024, which is an attractive quality in a future fantasy catcher, and with a good shot to debut in 2025, those skills could be put on display later in the year, so he could become a top prospect stash soon. |
