Wed Aug 2016:11Caleb Boushley to Make First Career Start on Wednesday
Texas Rangers right-hander Caleb Boushley will make his first start in the big leagues on Wednesday againt the hosting Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium, according to Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News. All 20 of Boushley's appearances in the big leagues this year for the Rangers have come out of the bullpen, and he's sporting a 4.91 ERA (3.61 FIP), a 1.31 WHIP, his first career save, 35 strikeouts and 10 walks in 36 2/3 innings pitched. The 31-year-old has made five starts on the farm at Triple-A Round Rock and is typically a multi-inning reliever, so he won't be your typical opener that goes just one inning. Still, fantasy managers will want to avoid him as a deep DFS streamer against a Royals squad that is looking for their seventh straight victory.

Thu Nov 21 202423:40Rangers Sign Pitcher Caleb Boushley To A Minor-League Deal
The Texas Rangers have signed right-hander Caleb Boushley to a minor-league contract. Boushley pitched in the Twins organization for the entirety of 2024, but only briefly in the majors with just four innings pitched this year. At Triple-A in 2024, the 31-year-old made 26 starts but pitched to a 5.23 ERA and 1.37 WHIP. The righty doesn't miss a lot of bats, logging just a 7.24 K/9, but he also only walked 4.9% of the batters he faced. The former 33rd-round draft pick will need to perform better in 2025 if he hopes to make it back to the bigs, but unless he changes something, he doesn't have the stuff to make him fantasy relevant.
