Houston Astros outfield prospect
Kenedy Corona was called up from Triple-A Sugar Land for his major league debut on Monday. The 25-year-old is expected to provide outfield depth after
Jake Meyers left Sunday's contest with right calf tightness and was out of the lineup Monday. Corona's stay may not be long-lived as Meyers isn't expected to need an IL stint, nor was he batting all that well at Triple-A prior to his call-up. The right-handed hitter was slashing .228/.315/.351 for the Space Cowboys through 76 games. The Venezuelan does have some speed and walks at an above-average rate, but his calling card is his defense. For now, he can be left to waiver wires in fantasy.
