Thu Jul 3 | 22:27 | Corbin Carroll Starts Rehab Assignment |
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll (wrist) began a minor-league rehab assignment on Thursday and is playing in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League, according to Jody Jackson. Carroll has recovered quickly from a chip fracture in his wrist. The 24-year-old former National League Rookie of the Year is eligible to return from the 10-day injured list on Friday. That might be a little premature for his return to the big-league squad, but barring a setback now that he's playing in rehab games, he has an excellent chance to make it back before the All-Star break. It's great news for the Diamondbacks and fantasy managers alike, as Carroll is one of the best all-around offensive contributors in the game. He's having a bounce-back campaign in 2025 and is currently hitting .255 with a league-high nine triples, 20 homers, 44 RBI, 57 runs scored and 10 steals in 72 games. |

Tue Jul 1 | 12:42 | Corbin Carroll Eyeing Return Before All-Star Break |
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll (wrist) told Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports he's aiming to rejoin the team before the All-Star break, which starts on July 14. "We'll see, I gotta listen to my body on this one, but I would like to be back. I'm operating under all intents of that being the case. If the hand doesn't respond as well as I want, then gotta listen to that and make new plans." The former first-round pick took a pitch to the hand/wrist area two weeks ago that caused a chip fracture, but he reports the only thing he can't do at this point is swing a bat. That should change Tuesday, as he's scheduled to take dry swings. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect to have the superstar back before he's due, but it's good news that he's tried to keep in a groove while he's shelved. It shouldn't take him too long to get back in the swing of things once he's activated. |

Mon Jun 30 | 19:47 | Corbin Carroll to Take Dry Swings on Tuesday |
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll (wrist) will start taking dry swings on Tuesday, according to manager Torey Lovullo. Carroll was placed on the 10-day injured list on June 24 with a chip fracture in his left wrist. While it's a good sign that he's already going to start swinging a bat this week, the 24-year-old former National League Rookie of the Year still has a ways to go and isn't going to be ready to rejoin the big-league roster when the second half of the season kicks off on July 18. The former first-rounder should be stashed in an IL spot in all fantasy leagues as one of the best all-around fantasy assets in the game. Before his injury, he was slashing .255/.341/.573 with a .914 OPS, 20 home runs, 44 RBI, 57 runs and 10 steals in 286 at-bats. Randal Grichuk and Jake McCarthy will platoon in right field in the desert until Carroll returns. |

Wed Jun 25 | 09:19 | Surgery Not Being Considered for Corbin Carroll |
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll (wrist) suffered a chip fracture on his wrist on a hit-by-pitch on June 18. Although initial tests were negative, subsequent exams revealed a chip fracture in his left wrist, which landed him on the 10-day injured list. Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said surgery is not being considered for Carroll, Jack Sommers, the beat writer for the Diamondbacks, reports. The team has not offered a concrete timetable for Carroll's return, but based on the severity of the injury, it seems likely that Carroll won't return until after the All-Star break. Jake McCarthy has been recalled to take Carroll's roster spot and could see starts in the outfield along with Randal Grichuk and Tim Tawa. The news that he does not need to undergo surgery is fortunate. Still, it is also a significant loss to fantasy managers in the short term, as he was enjoying a nice bounceback season, slashing .255/.341/.573 with 20 home runs, 57 runs, and 44 RBI, along with 10 stolen bases. |

Tue Jun 24 | 16:07 | Diamondbacks Officially Place Corbin Carroll on 10-Day Injured List |
The Arizona Diamondbacks officially announced on Tuesday that they placed outfielder Corbin Carroll (wrist) on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to June 21) with a fractured left wrist and recalled outfielder Jake McCarthy from Triple-A Reno in a corresponding move. The D-backs thought Carroll would initially avoid the IL after he was hit by a pitch on his wrist last Wednesday, but additional tests showed a fracture. There is no timetable for a return for the former National League Rookie of the Year, so fantasy managers shouldn't expect to see him back in Arizona's starting lineup until after the All-Star break in mid-July. In the meantime, fantasy managers must keep the former first-rounder stashed in an IL spot everywhere. Veteran Randal Grichuk and McCarthy figure to form a platoon in right field in the desert with Carroll sidelined. |

Mon Jun 23 | 23:04 | Corbin Carroll to Land on Injured List With "Chip Fracture" in his Hand |
Arizona Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said that outfielder Corbin Carroll (hand) has a "chip fracture" on the back of his left hand and will land on the 10-day injured list. The Diamondbacks are still determining how long Carroll might be out, but he's at least going to miss the next 10 days and probably longer. With the All-Star break coming in mid-July, fantasy managers probably shouldn't expect the 24-year-old former National League Rookie of the Year to return until the second half of the season. Until then, keep Carroll stashed in an IL spot in all formats. The former first-rounder has bounced back in 2025 after a disappointing 2024 season and is currently slashing .255/.341/.573 with a .914 OPS, 20 homers, 44 RBI, 57 runs and 10 stolen bases. In his absence, Randal Grichuk could be a lineup regular in Arizona in right field. |

Mon Jun 23 | 17:28 | Corbin Carroll Absent Again on Monday |
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll (hand) continues to sit out of the lineup for Monday's series opener in Chicago against the White Sox. Randal Grichuk is making another start in right field and will hit seventh against White Sox right-hander Shane Smith. Carroll is missing his fifth straight game on Monday with a bruised left hand. The 24-year-old is undergoing an MRI exam and could end up landing on the 10-day injured list if he cannot return to the field sooner than later. If he does land on the IL, fantasy managers should keep him stashed in all leagues as one of the best all-around contributors in the game. The former first-rounder is currently slashing .255/.341/.573 with a .914 OPS, 20 long balls, 44 RBI, 57 runs and 10 steals in 2025. Grichuk has actually fared better against righties on the year but still makes for a low-upside DFS streamer with only three homers on the year. UPDATE: Manager Torey Lovullo said Carroll is available in "small spurts and small segments" like pinch-running. The concern level over the situation is "probably a little higher than it has been over the past couple of days." |

Mon Jun 23 | 09:16 | Corbin Carroll Getting an MRI on Left Hand |
Arizona Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo mentioned that outfielder Corbin Carroll will get an MRI on his left hand tomorrow in Chicago. Per Lovullo, Carroll's hand is getting better, and he was an option to pinch-hit Sunday. Still, after the situation with Moreno, they want to be extra cautious, Steve Gilbert, beat writer for the Diamondbacks, reports. Carroll exited the contest on June 18 against the Toronto Blue Jays after being struck on the left hand by a pitch, and proceeded to sit the rest of the week. Initial X-rays came back negative, and the fact that he was available to pinch-hit on Sunday is an encouraging sign; however, being sent for an MRI after not playing for four consecutive days is less than ideal. Fantasy managers will want to keep a close eye on news regarding MRI results. Tim Tawa and Randal Grichuk have been seeing additional playing time in Carroll's absence. |

Sun Jun 22 | 13:07 | Corbin Carroll Not in Sunday's Lineup |
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll (hand) is remaining on the bench on Sunday when the Diamondbacks continue a series against the Colorado Rockies. The superstar outfielder has been held out of action over the past three games due to a bruised left hand. Fantasy managers should continue to keep an eye on his status leading up to their next contest on Monday evening against the White Sox. This afternoon, Randal Grichuk will get the nod in right field and will bat in the six-hole. Before the injury, Carroll held a .235/.366/.618 slash line with one triple, three triples, two home runs, and a 13:6 K:BB over his last nine contests. Through 72 total games, Carroll has performed at an elite level, hitting 20 home runs, swiping 10 bags, with a .255/.341/.573 line. |

Sat Jun 21 | 18:36 | Corbin Carroll Absent Again |
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll (hand) remains out of the starting lineup ahead of Saturday's game against the Colorado Rockies. Carroll is now set to miss his third game in a row after getting hit in the hand on Wednesday. Luckily, D-Backs manager Torey Lovullo said Carroll is close to getting back on the field. That being said, fantasy managers should expect Carroll back in the mix within the next few days. In the meantime, Randal Grichuk will cover right field and bat fifth versus left-hander Carson Palmquist on Saturday. Fantasy managers should check back on Sunday to see if Carroll is ready to return. |

Thu Jun 19 | 14:04 | Corbin Carroll Out for Series Finale |
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll (hand) is not in the team's starting lineup for Thursday's series finale in Toronto against the Blue Jays. Randal Grichuk is starting in right field and will bat seventh against Blue Jays right-hander Kevin Gausman. It's not much of a surprise that Carroll is out a day after leaving Wednesday's game with a left-hand contusion after he was hit by a pitch. Thankfully, X-rays came back negative for the 24-year-old former National League Rookie of the Year, and he should be considered day-to-day for now. Carroll reportedly tried to talk his way into the lineup on Thursday, which means there's a good chance he'll be back for Friday's series opener against the division-rival Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. Although Grichuk has been better against righties in 2025, he won't be a recommended DFS play. He's hit .167 with a solo homer in six career at-bats against Gausman. |

Wed Jun 18 | 22:51 | Corbin Carroll Injures Hand on Wednesday, X-Rays Come Back Negative |
Arizona Diamondbacks star outfielder Corbin Carroll (hand) was pulled from Wednesday's game early against the Toronto Blue Jays after being hit on the right hand by a pitch in the eighth inning, but MLB.com's Steve Gilbert report that X-rays came back negative. Before departing the eventual 8-1 loss at the Rogers Centre, Carroll went 1-for-3 with a triple, a run scored and a strikeout. Rookie Tim Tawa shifted from center field to left field and Alex Thomas entered the game to play center. Fantasy managers shouldn't be surprised if Carroll sits out Thursday's series finale in Toronto, but it looks like he has avoided a serious injury and should be considered day-to-day for now. The 24-year-old former NL Rookie of the Year regressed in 2024 but is back to being one of the best all-around fantasy players in 2025. Carroll already has 20 homers, 44 RBI and 10 steals in 72 games. |

Tue Jun 10 | 14:59 | Corbin Carroll Battling Tight Hamstring |
SI.com's Jack Sommers reported on Monday that Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll (hamstring) has been battling through a tight hamstring. Carroll was still in the lineup for Monday's series-opening, extra-inning win over the visiting Seattle Mariners, though, and went 1-for-5 with a solo home run and a walk. The 24-year-old former National League Rookie of the Year missed a couple games over the weekend, and now we know why. He should be fine, but it's something to keep an eye on moving forward if he misses anymore games. If anything, it could cause the former first-rounder to run less on the basepaths. When Carroll is in the starting lineup, he's a must-start in all fantasy leagues with a .258/.339/.569 slash line, .908 OPS, 19 home runs, 41 RBI, 50 runs scored and 10 stolen bases in 260 at-bats this year. |

Sat Jun 7 | 16:55 | Corbin Carroll Not in Lineup on Saturday |
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll is not in the lineup for their game against the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday. The Diamondbacks started Randal Grichuk in right field in Carroll's place against right-hander Nick Martinez. This is the second straight game the Diamondbacks have sat Carroll, who did make a pinch-hit appearance in the first of those contests. That game was suspended due to weather on Friday before finishing with a 4-3 Reds win on Saturday. Carroll should be back Sunday against Reds righty Brady Singer. |

Fri Jun 6 | 17:29 | Corbin Carroll Sitting Versus Southpaw |
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll will take a seat on the bench in Friday's series opener against the hosting Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ballpark with a left-hander on the mound. With Carroll resting, veteran Randal Grichuk will start in right field and bat fifth against Reds southpaw Nick Lodolo. Grichuk has typically been a lefty killer in his career, but he's hit .224 (15-for-67) with two of his three home runs against them this year and he's also gone hitless in three career at-bats against Lodolo. Carroll is one of the best all-around players in the game and rarely takes a day off, so we should see him back in there for Game 2 of the series in Cincy on Saturday. The 24-year-old former first-rounder is hitting .259 but with an xBA of .275, and he's already clubbed 18 long balls, driven in 39, scored 49 runs and stolen 10 bags. |

Wed Jun 4 | 00:09 | Corbin Carroll Hits Two Homers, Plates Four Tuesday |
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll continued his power surge in Tuesday's 8-3 win over the Braves. Carroll went 3-for-4 with a single, a solo home run, a three-run HR, and a walk. He was also caught stealing. The 24-year-old jumped all over a fifth-inning middle-middle Spencer Strider fastball for a solo shot and then broke things open in the ninth with a three-run blast off of Rafael Montero. Carroll has been on an incredible power pace this season even for his standards and is now slashing .262/.336/.578 with 18 HR, 39 RBI, and 10 stolen bases in 271 plate appearances. He may end up swapping some of his stolen base totals for HR, but fantasy managers can't complain when he's producing at this level overall. |

Sat May 24 | 12:22 | Corbin Carroll Out Versus Cardinals |
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll will take the day off on Saturday in St. Louis against the Cardinals at Busch Stadium with a left-hander on the mound. With Carroll getting a day of rest, the D-backs will roll with rookie Tim Tawa in center field and in the eight-hole in the batting order against Cardinals lefty Matthew Liberatore. Randal Grichuk will start in right and bat seventh. Carroll has been one of the best fantasy contributors so far in 2025 through his first 214 at-bats, slashing .271/.345/.579 with a .924 OPS, 15 home runs, 34 RBI, 40 runs scored and nine stolen bases. Fantasy managers will want to get the former 16th overall pick back in their starting lineups when he returns to action for the series finale on Sunday. Grichuk is known as a lefty killer in his career, but he's gone 12-for-56 (.214) against them so far this year with his only home run. He's also never faced Liberatore. |

Wed May 14 | 09:15 | Corbin Carroll Sends One Deep Again In Loss |
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll went 2-for-5 with a home run and a single in Tuesday's 10-6 loss to the San Francisco Giants. He scored and struck out twice. That marks back-to-back games with a homer for him, and it's the second time he's done so this year. The Seattle native is now tied for the league lead with 14 blasts, and he's well on his way to smashing his previous career-best of 25 HRs. Not only is Carroll impacting the ball harder than he ever has, but he's also changed the way he's attacking the field. In addition to a higher percentage of fly balls in his profile, the former first-round pick is focusing on hitting the ball straight and to the pull side more often while starkly dropping his opposite-field hit rate. |

Tue May 13 | 01:52 | Corbin Carroll Goes Yard Twice In Win Over San Francisco |
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll went 2-for-3 with two home runs and a walk in Monday's 2-1 victory against the San Francisco Giants. He accounted for both of his team's runs and collected his third multi-homer game of 2025. The former first-round pick hit a pair of long balls off veteran pitcher Justin Verlander, providing enough run support for starter Merrill Kelly to nab his fourth win. Carroll has been electric this season -- up to 13 dingers and one off of league leaders Kyle Schwarber and Aaron Judge. His stolen bases are down, but it's hard to find trouble with that when he's unlocked power of this magnitude. To no surprise, the 24-year-old boasts career-highs in average exit velocity (93.8 MPH) and hard-hit rate (54.8%) that far surpass the figures he'd held prior. |

Wed May 7 | 21:46 | Corbin Carroll Hits 11th Homer In Loss |
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll continued his MVP-type season during Wednesday's game against the New York Mets. Carroll refused to get out as he reached base in all four of his plate appearances. His biggest contribution of the game came in the eighth inning when he hit his 11th home run of the season off Max Kranick. Carroll would finish this game 2-for-2 with a homer, one RBI, and two walks in the loss. The 24-year-old is putting up MVP numbers right now and has homered in two of his last three games. |
