Sun Nov 24 202419:48Bryce Johnson, Mason McCoy Non-Tendered By San Diego
The San Diego Padres have non-tendered outfielder Bryce Johnson and shortstop Mason McCoy, according to the team. Johnson appeared in 47 games at the major league level last season and posted a .206/.286/.238 line and hit just two extra-base hits. With Triple-A El Paso, Johnson carried a solid .288/.407/.431 line across 74 games. McCoy appeared in only 19 games in the big leagues in 2024 and posted a .204/.278/.245 line. In Triple-A, McCoy held a .260/.329/.382 slash line. While both players have shown potential at the top level of the minors before, they have yet to earn a consistent opportunity in the major leagues. Fantasy managers should expect both players to compete for a spot on the Opening Day roster during Spring Training with their new club.

Mon May 8 202314:16Bryce Johnson Activated And Optioned To Triple-A
The San Francisco Giants activated outfielder Bryce Johnson (concussion) from the seven-day concussion injured list on Monday and optioned him to Triple-A Sacramento. Johnson played in two minor-league rehab games over the weekend and is now ready to return to action on the farm after being placed on the injured list on April 14. The 27-year-old will return to Sacramento now that Austin Slater is also back from the injured list. Johnson had only played in 10 games before suffering a concussion, going 3-for-20 (.150) with a home run, one RBI and two runs scored for the Gigantes. He figures to stay in the minor leagues until San Francisco has another need in the outfield.

Fri Mar 24 202310:23Bryce Johnson Likely To Make Opening Day Roster
San Francisco Giants outfielder Bryce Johnson has a great shot at making the Opening Day roster, according to Giants president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi. The 27-year-old has looked excellent this spring and earned a spot on this team. He's hitting .361 with a league-leading 11 steals in 12 games this spring. Johnson only played in 11 games with the Giants last season. However, he stole 31 bases in 94 games Triple-A Sacramento in 2022. His speed is going to be his bigger asset, which gives him appeal in deep mixed leagues and NL-only formats.
