Fri Sep 509:49Noah Schultz Precautiously Placed on Injured List With Knee Injury
Chicago White Sox left-hander Noah Schultz (knee) was placed on the minor-league injured list with knee discomfort on Thursday, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports. Schultz is the No. 38-ranked prospect according to the MLB top-100 list and the White Sox's second-ranked prospect. It appears the White Sox are placing him on the IL due to precautionary reasons; however, fantasy managers who own Schultz in dynasty leagues may want to keep a close eye on this as the days go on to make sure it's nothing serious. Shultz was projected to make his MLB debut at some point towards the end of 2025; however, now it appears that may be delayed to the start of 2026, depending on the severity of the injury. Schultz was a first-round pick for the White Sox back in 2022, and during the 2025 season, he has made 17 starts, with 12 of them coming in Double-A, and his most recent five starts in Triple-A. He owns a 4.68 ERA and a 1.67 WHIP on the season across both levels.

Sun Aug 2415:54Noah Schultz Back on the Mound at Triple-A Charlotte
Chicago White Sox pitching prospect Noah Schultz (knee) returned to the moundat Triple-A Charlotte on Sunday for the first time since July 3. Chicago's second-ranked prospect feltdiscomfortin his knee while warming up for his start on July 19, but appears to have made a full recovery. The 6-foot-10 southpaw only went two innings on Sunday, allowing one run (zero earned) on two hits and no walks while striking out four batters. The former first-rounder pitched well at Double-A to begin the year, but had a rude awakening at Triple-A, allowing 15 earned runs in 11 1/3 innings pitched over his first three starts there. Regardless, fantasy managers should expect the 22-year-old to make a debut in the big leagues next year and should be an impactful starter with his big frame.

Mon Aug 1815:15Noah Schultz Progressing, Could Return in Late August
Chicago White Sox pitching prospect Noah Schultz (knee) has not pitched in a game at Triple-A Charlotte since July 3 after being scratched due to knee discomfort prior to his start on July 19. Chicago's second-ranked prospect is progressing and could return before the end of the month, however, the team is being cautious with their top pitching prospect. Even if he doesn't return before the end of the season, the left-handed hurler will participate in the Arizona Fall League (AFL). The 22-year-old earned a promotion to Triple-A in June, but had a rough three starts in which he allowed 15 earned runs on 18 hits and eight walks while striking out 13 in 11 1/3 innings pitched. Hopefully he can make up for lost time and iron out some things in the AFL, and fantasy managers should expect the southpaw to arrivein the big leagues nextyear.

Sun Jul 2008:32Noah Schultz Scratched from Start on Saturday
Chicago White Sox pitching prospect Noah Schultz was warming up when something did not feel right, and he was subsequently scratched from his start on Saturday for Triple-A Charlotte with what is being described as right knee discomfort. Chicago's top-ranked prospect (MLB No. 15) was set to make his fourth start for the Knights, looking to improve upon his bloated 11.91 ERA and 2.29 WHIP that he's recorded so far through three starts at Triple-A. Before that, the southpaw had recorded a 3.34 ERA and 1.59 WHIP at Double-A prior to his promotion. The 6-foot-10 hurler hadn't shown control problems before 2025, but this year he's had the same walk rate betweenboth levels, coming in at 14.4 percent, which has given him a lowly 8.8 percent K-BB% for the year. It's not clear if he'll need to miss any additional starts, but a 2025 MLB debut is looking less and less likely.

Fri Jul 400:58Noah Schultz Allows Four Runs on Thursday
Chicago White Sox pitching prospect Noah Schultz allowed four runs on five hits and three walks while striking out four against Triple-A Jacksonville. The 6'10" lefty induced eight whiffs on 24 swings, but also allowed two home runs, with both of them coming off the bat of Graham Pauley. Schultz has now made three starts since being promoted to Triple-A on June 18, and the results have been shaky at best with an 11.91 ERA, 2.29 WHIP, and a 13:8 K:BB in 11.1 innings. The 21-year-old has relied heavily on his great fastball up until this point in his development, and will need to develop his secondary offerings to reach the next level. Schultz is ranked as the White Sox's current number one prospect on MLB.com.

Thu Jun 1923:58Noah Schultz Allows Six Runs In Triple-A Debut
Chicago White Sox pitching prospect Noah Schultz took the loss against Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday, allowing six runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out five over 5 1/3 innings. The 21-year-old still generated 16 swinging strikes on 43 swings and allowed only two extra-base hits. He did give up a good amount of hard contact, but it wasn't all bad. Schultz held a 3.34 ERA in 56 2/3 innings at Double-A Birmingham but also owned an elevated 14.4 percent walk rate, which led to a 1.59 WHIP. The 6-foot-10 left-hander has serious upside but needs to improve his command as he ages. Schultz is currently ranked as the No. 13 overall prospect on MLB.com and likely won't be a call-up candidate until next season.

Tue Jun 315:35Noah Schultz Strikes Out Four in Latest Start
Chicago White Sox pitching prospect Noah Schultz allowed one earned run on six hits and two walks while striking out four over five inningsof work in his latest start at Double-A Birmingham this past Friday. The performance lowered his season-long ERA to 3.72 and now has 47 strikeouts in 46 innings pitched, but Chicago's top prospect still ownsa high 1.63 WHIP. In his previous start, the lefty tossed five innings of one-hit ball with four strikeouts, but it came with three walks. Coming into 2025, the former first-round draft pick owned a 6.5 percent walk rate, so to see him with a 13.7 percent walk rate this year is a bit surprising. Nevertheless, if he continues to limit the damage and strike batters out, some time at Triple-A later in the year is likely, and a late-season debut with the big league club is still on the table.

He should reach Triple-A in the coming months if he continues to find his footing.
