Tue Jul 2912:13Easton Lucas Called Up to Start Game 1 of Doubleheader
Toronto Blue Jays left-hander Easton Lucas has been called up from Triple-A Buffalo to make the start on Tuesday in Game 1 of a doubleheader against the division-rival Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards. This will be Lucas' fifth start for the Blue Jays and his first appearance in the big leagues since late May. The 28-year-old southpaw has allowed 14 earned runs on 21 hits (five homers) while walking 10 and striking out 22 in 21 2/3 innings over five outings (four starts). Lucas also has an ERA over 5.00 at Buffalo and will be pitching on Tuesday on just three days of rest, so we would advise fantasy managers in deeper leagues looking for a streamer to avoid him. After Lucas makes the spot start for Toronto against the O's, he'll most likely head back to the minors.

Mon Apr 721:34Easton Lucas Named Tuesday's Starter
Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Easton Lucas will get the starting nod against the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday. The right-hander received an extra day of rest with Jose Berrios moving up to start on Monday. Lucas looked good during his season debut against the Washington Nationals. He tossed five scoreless innings, allowing one hit, and striking out three batters. The 28-year-old will get a tougher challenge this time around against a tough Red Sox lineup at Fenway Park. Lucas could offer some deep league or AL-only appeal, but fantasy managers shouldn't expect another scoreless outing from Lucas.
