Athletics catching prospect Daniel Susac (undisclosed) was placed on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday. The nature of the injury is not clear, but if he can make it a minimum stay on the IL, then he could return in time for the Pacific Coast League playoffs. The Athletics' 12th-ranked prospect is having a fine season for the Aviators, hitting .275 with an .832 OPS, 18 home runs, and even seven steals. A 26.8 percent strikeout rate is something to keep an eye on, as that likely won't get better at the major league level, and he could be there as soon as 2026.

During this power surge, the 23-year-old backstop held a .400/.438/.800 slash line with 10 RBI. Before this surge, Susac held an underwhelming .174/.240/.217 slash line. The former 19th overall pick spent his entire 2024 campaign with Double-A Midland and was able to earn a promotion to Triple-A Las Vegas to open the 2025 season. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his progression, but it appears Susac has begun to turn the corner on his slow start. If the Arizona product continues to hit for power, he could push for an MLB debut later this season.
