Wed Jul 913:12White Sox Cam Booser Cleared to Begin Rehab Assignment
Chicago White Sox left-hander Cam Booser (shoulder) has been cleared to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte after being sidelined since June 19 with a left shoulder strain. The southpaw is expected to require only a brief rehab stint before rejoining the White Sox bullpen. Booser has posted a 5.11 ERA with 27 strikeouts and seven holds across 24 2/3 innings this season. Booser's high ERA and the White Sox overall struggles (32 games under .500) limit his fantasy value. He could offer minimal value as a speculative add in deeper AL-only or save and holds leagues. Booser remains off the radar in standard leagues unless he earns a consistent high-leverage role with improved team results.

Sun May 1118:41Cam Booser Earns Save On Sunday
Chicago White Sox relief pitcher Cam Booser was called upon to hold a two-run lead versus the Miami Marlins on Sunday. Booser was up for the task as he tossed a scoreless ninth inning to earn his first save of the season. The White Sox don't have a set closer, but it appears Booser is going to be in the mix for saves. Sadly, the White Sox don't actually win a ton of games as Sunday's win was their 12th of the season. The expectation is that Booser is going to get more chances going forward. Despite that, Booser isn't someone that needs to be rostered considering this is his first save and it's already in the middle of May. Fantasy managers should keep Booser on their radar in case he keeps getting chances.

Sat Dec 21 202419:36Cam Booser Traded To Chicago
The Chicago White Sox have acquired left-handed relief pitcher Cam Booser from the Boston Red Sox in exchange for right-handed pitcher Yhoiker Fajardo. In a corresponding move the White Sox designated outfielder Corey Julks for assignment. Last season in Boston, Booser held a 3.38 ERA and a 1.34 WHIP across 42 2/3 innings of relief. He tallied one save. He generated a solid 36.3% hard-hit rate with an above-average 3.56 xERA. Across 68 1/3 Triple-A frames, Booser carried a 5.14 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP. Fantasy managers should expect Booser to operate primarily out of the bullpen in Chicago and may eventually find a high-leverage role if he has a successful Spring Training as their current bullpen lacks any proven late-inning options.

Thu Aug 29 202414:25Cam Booser Starting Rehab Assignment On Thursday
Boston Red Sox left-handed reliever Cam Booser (elbow) is recovering from left-elbow inflammation and will start a minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Worcester on Thursday. Booser could return to the major-league bullpen soon after that, barring any setbacks. The 32-year-old veteran southpaw has been on the shelf with elbow inflammation since the middle of August but is nearing a return and should finish out the year with the Red Sox. In his first year in the big leagues in 2024, Booser has made 41 appearances out of Boston's bullpen, going 2-2 with a 3.00 ERA (3.34 FIP), a 1.24 WHIP, his first career save, 42 strikeouts and 13 walks in 42 frames. When he's back in the big leagues, fantasy managers can continue to ignore him everywhere.
