Tue Jun 2410:19Matt Gorski Moved to the 60-Day Injured List
Pittsburgh Pirates first baseman/outfielder Matt Gorski (undisclosed) was transferred from the seven-day injured list to the 60-day injured list, meaning the 27-year-old will be out until after the All-Star break. There has been no news on exactly what injury Gorski is dealing with, but he won't be back in action for a while. Before the injury, the 27-year-old made some headlines early in the season when he made his debut with the Pirates and homered in his first at-bat. He hit .195 in his 15 games in the majors with two homers and a .259 wOBA. He was returned to Triple-A when Spencer Horwitz was able to return from his injury. Gorski played just four games and went 1-for-9 after heading back to Indianapolis before landing on the injured list. He could get another chance for the Pirates late in the season, depending on what exactly the injury is that he's battling.

Tue Apr 2914:57Matt Gorski Draws Second Start At 1B, Will Hit Sixth On Tuesday
Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Matt Gorski will make his second career start Tuesday, manning first base and hitting sixth in the team's matchup with the Cubs. The former second-round draft pick debuted on April 24, hitting a solo home run for his first career hit. The 6-foot-2 slugger offers a little pop and speed, hitting 23 home runs and stealing 15 bases in 113 games at Triple-A last year. He'll have a tough test against lefty Shota Imanaga on Tuesday, but he could be a cheap DFS dart throw in hopes he hits another home run. Enmanuel Valdez will take a seat after starting the last three games at first base for the Pirates.
