Fri Aug 2914:14Yohel Pozo Going on Concussion Injured List
The St. Louis Cardinals are placing catcher Yohel Pozo (concussion) on the seven-day concussion injured list on Friday and are recalling rookie catching prospect Jimmy Crooks from Triple-A Memphis in a corresponding move, sources tell Katie Woo of The Athletic. Pozo took a foul tip off his mask in Thursday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates and was examined by a trainer before staying in the game. The 28-year-old is evidently in the league's concussion protocol and will now be out for at least a week. Crooks will serve as St. Louis' third backstop for the time being behind Pedro Pages and Ivan Herrera. Per MLB Pipeline, he's the team's No. 6 prospect and was hitting .274 (107-for-390) with 14 home runs and 79 RBI in 98 games for Memphis before his call-up. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect Crooks to see much playing time.

Tue Sep 7 202110:39Yohel Pozo Continues Impressing
Texas Rangers catcher Yohel Pozo has been reliable with the bat since joining the big league roster. On Monday, he went 2-for-4 with two singles in the 4-0 victory over the Los Angeles Angels. The 24-year-old is slashing .264/.291/.340 in his 53 at-bats with the Rangers this season. He is a catcher by trade, but has been serving as the designated hitter since joining Texas. The Rangers might have to start thinking of different ways to get him in the lineup, assuming he's part of their future plans.

Sat Aug 14 202118:50Yohel Pozo Remains In The Lineup On Saturday
Texas Rangers catcher Yohel Pozo blasted a home run during his Major League debut on Friday. The 24-year-old is likely going to be the future for Texas behind the plate. He'll serve as the designated hitter and bat eighth versus righty James Kaprielian on Saturday. This won't be a favorable matchup for Pozo, but he'll have decent value going forward. That's assuming the Rangers continue starting Pozo throughout the rest of the season. Fantasy managers in deep leagues and AL-only formats should keep an eye on Pozo going forward.
