Sun Jul 13 | 12:16 | Andrew Vaughn Resting on Sunday |
Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Andrew Vaughn is getting the day off in Sunday's series finale against the visiting Washington Nationals at American Family Field. Jake Bauers will make the start at first base and will bat sixth against Nationals right-hander Jake Irvin. After flaming out with the Chicago White Sox as a former first-round pick, the Brewers traded for Vaughn this year, and he's taken full advantage of his opportunities in Milwaukee with Rhys Hoskins (thumb) on the injured list. In just five games with the Brew Crew, the 27-year-old right-handed hitter has gone 6-for-14 with two home runs, two doubles, 10 RBI and three runs scored. He went 2-for-4 with two doubles and four RBI in Saturday's victory over Washington. Vaughn should continue to get chances at first base in Milwaukee, at least until Hoskins recovers from his thumb ailment. |

Sat Jul 12 | 21:25 | Andrew Vaughn Drives in Four Runs |
Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Andrew Vaughn has come alive with the bat since joining his new team. His success at the plate continued during Saturday's game against the Washington Nationals. Vaughn went 2-for-4 with two doubles and four RBI in the 6-5 win over the Nats on Saturday. The right-handed slugger is 6-for-14 with 10 RBI since joining the Brewers on Monday. Vaughn figures to continue getting regular playing time while Rhys Hoskins (thumb) is out. Fantasy managers looking for a boost in their lineup right now should consider adding Vaughn while he's hot at the plate. |

Sun Jul 6 | 21:07 | Andrew Vaughn to Join Brewers |
The Milwaukee Brewers plan to recall first baseman Andrew Vaughn from Triple-A Nashville, Robert Murray of FanSided reports. He'll be the corresponding move when the Brewers place Rhys Hoskins (thumb) on the 10-day injured list with a sprained left thumb. The Brewers acquired Vaughn from the Chicago White Sox for right-hander Aaron Civale on June 13. Since then, the 27-year-old has batted .259/.338/.500 with three home runs and 16 RBI in 65 plate appearances with Nashville. Vaughn entered the pro ranks as the third overall pick of the White Sox in 2019, but the former prized prospect hasn't lived up to the billing in the majors. He got off to a disastrous .189/.218/.314 start with five homers and 19 RBI in 193 plate appearances this year before the White Sox decided to cut the cord on him. The right-handed Vaughn could now form a platoon at first base with the left-handed Jake Bauers in Milwaukee. |

Fri Jun 13 | 10:52 | Andrew Vaughn Shipped to Milwaukee |
The Milwaukee Brewers acquired first baseman Andrew Vaughn from the Chicago White Sox on Friday in exchange for right-hander Aaron Civale, sources tell ESPN's Jesse Rogers. Vaughn, the third overall pick back in 2019 out of Cal Berkeley, never lived up to his draft stock in Chicago in his five seasons, hitting .248/.303/.407 with a .709 OPS, 77 homers, 293 RBI and 247 runs scored in 610 games. The 27-year-old was demoted to Triple-A Charlotte in May after starting the 2025 season hitting just .189 (35-for-185) with five homers, 19 RBI and 43 strikeouts in 193 trips to the plate. While the move to Milwaukee puts him with a much better team, Vaughn could remain at the Triple-A level in Nashville with his new organization as depth at first base behind Rhys Hoskins and at designated hitter behind Christian Yelich. The trade really does nothing to boost his already floundering fantasy value. |

Fri May 23 | 17:23 | Andrew Vaughn Demoted to Triple-A |
The Chicago White Sox announced on Friday that they optioned infielder Andrew Vaughn to Triple-A Charlotte. Vaughn gets the boot to help make room on the active roster for both outfielders Andrew Benintendi (calf) and Mike Tauchman (hamstring), who returned from the injured list on Friday. Vaughn was hitting just .189/.218/.314 with a .531 OPS, five home runs, 19 RBI, nine runs scored, seven walks and 43 strikeouts in 193 plate appearances in 48 games. The 27-year-old former third overall pick in 2019 out of Cal Berkeley will most likely be back up in the majors again at some point in 2025, but for now, he'll go down to the farm to try and work on his swing. Miguel Vargas is starting at first and is batting third on Friday against the Texas Rangers and right-hander Tyler Mahle, and he figures to see most of the playing time there now that Vaughn is at Triple-A. |

Mon Apr 21 | 12:39 | Andrew Vaughn Notches Third Homer |
Chicago White Sox first baseman Andrew Vaughn went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBI, and one run scored in Sunday's 8-4 victory over the Boston Red Sox. It was his first multi-hit game of the season. Vaughn has been ice-cold to start the year, batting a dismal .152 (12-for-79) with three long balls, two doubles, ten RBI, and five runs scored. However, he may be heating up. The former third-overall pick has a hit in six of his last seven outings, and has ticked up his hard-hit percentage to a strong 49.2% of the time. A 24.1% strikeout percentage isn't great, though, and he holds a career-low 4.8% walk rate. As a silver lining, the 27-year-old's home run on Sunday was also his hardest hit ball of the season -- exiting the bat at 110.5 MPH. |

Wed Apr 16 | 06:20 | Andrew Vaughn Hits Three-Run Home Run On Tuesday |
Chicago White Sox first baseman Andrew Vaughn was the lone bright spot for his team in a 12-3 loss to the Athletics on Tuesday. Vaughn went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer to drive in the only runs of the game for his team in the loss. The veteran first baseman has been off to a slow start in 2025, hitting just .123 with two homers, three runs, and eight RBI across 57 at-bats. Vaughn should bounce back as he combined to hit 40 homers and drive in 150 runs over his past two seasons, although a poor White Sox team around him may hinder him. |

Fri Apr 11 | 09:29 | Andrew Vaughn Off To A Slow Start In 2025 |
Chicago White Sox first baseman Andrew Vaughn is off to a slow start in 2025. Vaughn is slashing .125/.205/.250 (5-for-40) with one home run, two runs scored, and 5 RBI in the teams' first 11 games. Over the past two seasons, Vaughn has hit .258 and .246, respectively, so fantasy managers can expect some progression on the horizon, although, at this point, he can be dropped in most 10 to 12-person leagues if someone on the waiver wire is worth picking up. After the loss on Thursday to the Cleveland Guardians, the White Sox have struggled to a 2-10 start to the season, picking up where they left off in 2024 with 121 losses. On Friday, Vaughn and the White Sox will try to get going as they start a three-game series against the Boston Red Sox. |

Mon Sep 2 2024 | 12:15 | Luis Robert Jr., Andrew Vaughn Sitting On Monday |
Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert and first baseman Andrew Vaughn are both out of the starting lineup on Monday against the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards. It appears to be a normal day of rest for both players to start a new week. Robert had started each of the team's last seven games. Zach DeLoach is drawing into the White Sox's lineup in right field and will bat sixth, while Gavin Sheets will handle first base and will bat cleanup against Orioles right-hander Corbin Burnes. Corey Julks is serving as the designated hitter and will bat in the two-hole. Sheets is probably the most attractive DFS sleeper for his power, but he hasn't recorded a hit in six career at-bats against Burnes. Robert has an attractive power/speed combination for fantasy managers (14 homers and 21 steals), but he's hitting just .219 (68-for-311) on the year and is on the worst team in baseball. |

Sun Aug 4 2024 | 13:33 | Andrew Vaughn Back In The Lineup |
Chicago White Sox first baseman Andrew Vaughn (illness) is back in the starting lineup ahead of Sunday's game against the Minnesota Twins. The 26-year-old was scratched ahead of Saturday's game due to an illness. Luckily it was a minor issue as Vaughn will play first base and bat cleanup against righty Simeon Woods Richardson. Fantasy managers who have Vaughn rostered can get him back in the lineup ahead of first pitch. |

Thu Jul 4 2024 | 12:32 | Andrew Vaughn Getting A Breather On Thursday |
Chicago White Sox first baseman Andrew Vaughn isn't in the team's starting lineup on Thursday against the division-rival Cleveland Guardians. Gavin Sheets will get the nod at first base and will bat cleanup for the Pale Hose versus Guardians right-hander Ben Lively. Vaughn has been a below-average hitter for fantasy managers in his fourth year in the big leagues. He's batting .244 (75-for-308) with a career-low .696 OPS, 11 home runs, 41 RBI and 32 runs scored in 81 games played for the worst team in baseball. On the bright side, he's currently in the midst of a six-game hitting streak where he's gone 8-for-21 (.381) with two homers, two doubles and six RBI. Sheets is mostly useful for his power and is hitting .241 (52-for-216) with six of his seven homers coming off right-handers in 2024. |

Fri Jun 14 2024 | 09:14 | Andrew Vaughn Stays Hot With Another Homer |
Chicago White Sox first baseman Andrew Vaughn went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and two RBI in Thursday's victory versus the Seattle Mariners. The homer was his second in three games for the first baseman that has been swinging a hot bat of late. Vaughn was pretty much invisible for much of the season, but he has been on fire of late with 15 hits over his last 41 at-bats to go along with four homers and six RBI. On the season, Vaughn is now hitting .227 with eight homers and 25 RBI. Vaughn makes for a fine add for managers looking for a hot bat to insert into their lineup, but long-term, Vaughn doesn't hold much value. |

Wed May 15 2024 | 00:30 | Andrew Vaughn Homers Twice In Game 2 Tuesday |
Chicago White Sox first baseman Andrew Vaughn had a nice game at the plate in Tuesday's Game 2, 4-0 win over the Nationals. Vaughn went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a three-run home run, and a walk. Despite the strong game, the 26-year-old has struggled offensively, slashing .211/.271/.329 with three homers and 13 RBI in 166 plate appearances. Hopefully, this performance can help get him going. |

Tue Apr 16 2024 | 19:07 | Eloy Jimenez In, Andrew Vaughn Out On Tuesday |
Chicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez is back as the designated hitter and is batting third on Tuesday against the Kansas City Royals and right-hander Brady Singer, while first baseman Andrew Vaughn is getting the day off. Jimenez was activated from the injured list on Monday but wasn't in the starting lineup before getting a pinch-hit appearance later in the game. The White Sox are going to ease him back into the fold, but he could see more appearances in the outfield after starting there only 14 of 118 times in 2023. Vaughn has gone 1-for-16 in the last four games and 10-for-58 with no homers and three RBI to begin the year, so he's deserving of a rest. Gavin Sheets is at first base and is batting cleanup on Tuesday. |

Wed Mar 13 2024 | 21:37 | Andrew Vaughn Cracks First Spring Home Run |
Chicago White Sox first baseman Andrew Vaughn went 2-for-4 in Wednesday's 15-4 Cactus League rout of the Milwaukee Brewers, walloping a two-run home run during the second inning. Vaughn is still delivering a lukewarm start during the spring, batting .257 with a .689 OPS, one homer, and three RBI in 35 at-bats. It remains to be seen if the 25-year-old former No. 3 overall pick will finally put all his slugging potential together in 2024, but he's coming in at a very affordable 253.0 Yahoo ADP in fantasy drafts. After slashing .258/.314/.429 with 21 big flies, 30 doubles, and 80 RBI in 566 ABs as the everyday ChiSox first baseman a year ago, Vaughn should be considered something of a post-hype sleeper entering his fourth season in the major leagues. |

Thu Jan 11 2024 | 14:43 | Andrew Vaughn, White Sox Settle At $3.25 Million |
The Chicago White Sox and first baseman Andrew Vaughn have avoided arbitration with a one-year, $3.25 million deal for the 2024 campaign. The young slugger took over full-time duty at first base following the departure of Jose Abreu in the 2023 season and went on to hit .258 with 21 home runs and a .743 OPS across 615 trips to the plate. However, his subpar 5.9% BB% lowered his overall value at the plate as his 103 wRC+ registered just 3% above the league average. Nonetheless, it was the third straight season the former third-overall pick increased his home run total but he has still fallen below lofty expectations with 53 home runs across 413 big-league games, averaging 17.7 home runs per season across his first three big-league campaigns. |

Sun Aug 20 2023 | 21:48 | Andrew Vaughn Records Three Hits Against Rockies |
Chicago White Sox designated hitter Andrew Vaughn went 3-for-5 hitting a solo home run as the White Sox were victorious against the Rockies in Denver on Sunday. Vaughn made his mark early in the game, initiating the scoring with a 404-foot solo home run off Chris Flexen in the second frame. Later in the contest, he singled and crossed the plate during White Sox's seven-run surge in the eighth inning. The 25-year-old power hitter is now batting .253/.317/.430. During this year's campaign, he's cracked 16 home runs and logged 63 RBI in 430 at-bats. |

Mon Aug 7 2023 | 18:18 | Andrew Vaughn Back In The Lineup Monday |
Chicago White Sox first baseman Andrew Vaughn is back in the starting lineup Monday versus New York Yankees ace Gerrit Cole. The 25-year-old didn't start Sunday's series finale against the Cleveland Guardians but entered the game as a pinch-hitter, going 1-for-2 with a run scored and a strikeout as part of his club's 5-3 victory. Vaughn, in the midst of his third big-league campaign, is hitting .250 with 14 homers and a .747 OPS across 429 trips to the plate. While he's offered more power this season, his overall work at the plate has resulted in a small step back from his production as a sophomore in 2022, as evidenced by his 105 wRC+ this season versus a 113 mark from a season ago. |

Tue Jul 25 2023 | 19:38 | Andrew Vaughn Playing Against Cubs |
Chicago White Sox first baseman/outfielder Andrew Vaughn (foot) is back in the starting lineup on Tuesday against right-hander Kyle Hendricks and the visiting Chicago Cubs, starting at first base and batting sixth in the order. Vaughn will make his return for the Pale Hose after missing a week due to a bruised left foot. X-rays came back negative, though, and he avoided a trip to the injured list. The 25-year-old former first-rounder will attempt to pick things up offensively, as he's hitting only .188 (9-for-48) with no homers, a double, four RBI and four runs scored in 12 games in July. Vaughn hasn't cleared the fences since June 24, so perhaps fantasy managers will want to keep him on their benches until he gets back on track at the plate. |

Sun Jul 23 2023 | 10:44 | Andrew Vaughn Seeks To Return On Tuesday |
Chicago White Sox manager Pedro Grifol considers it a "best-case scenario" for first baseman Andrew Vaughn (foot) being able to return for Tuesday's Crosstown Series opener with the Chicago Cubs. Vaughn's foot is reportedly still bothering him, but the ChiSox don't believe he'll need to go on the injured list at this stage. The 25-year-old has been out of action since Tuesday after fouling a ball off his foot versus the New York Mets. With Vaughn likely out for Sunday's series finale vs. the Minnesota Twins, he'll have another day of rest with no game scheduled on Monday. The former No. 3 overall pick is batting .244 with a .738 OPS, 12 home runs, 54 RBI, and 43 runs scored in 353 at-bats this year. |
