Fri Sep 12 | 21:50 | Trevor Rogers Exits with Toe Discomfort |
Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Trevor Rogers (toe) was removed early during Friday's outing against the Toronto Blue Jays. Rogers was pulled after five innings of work due to left toe discomfort. Before exiting, Rogers allowed one unearned run on three hits, while walking four batters, and striking out six hitters across five innings of work. The expectation is that Rogers will undergo further evaluation. For now, fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day. Fantasy managers will need to check back to see if this impacts Rogers making his next start. |

Sat Aug 30 | 22:59 | Trevor Rogers Continues Dominant Run in Win |
Baltimore Orioles left-hander Trevor Rogers (8-2) continued an incredible run and notched his eighth win of the season in an 11-1 drubbing of the San Francisco Giants on Saturday. Rogers recorded his fourth straight start of seven-inning, one-run ball and allowed five hits with no walks and five strikeouts. That's now nine quality starts in a row for Rogers, who has unexpectedly performed like an ace since he made his 2025 debut on May 24. Rogers mostly put up mediocre production with the Miami Marlins from 2020-24 and struggled with the Orioles after they acquired him for outfielder Kyle Stowers and third baseman Connor Norby in June 2024. Baltimore has received no shortage of ridicule for that trade during Stowers' breakout season, but Rogers has done his best to justify the deal from the O's standpoint. He owns an absurd 1.39 ERA with a .82 WHIP and 81:19 K:BB in 90 1/3 innings. While Rogers easily ranks first in ERA among pitchers who have amassed 90-plus innings, he hasn't racked up enough frames to qualify for the title. Regardless, he has been one of the best pitchers in the league in 2025. The 27-year-old will face a significant challenge when he takes the ball against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sept. 6. |

Sun Aug 24 | 18:52 | Trevor Rogers Throws Another Stellar Outing |
Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Trevor Rogers was once again excellent on the mound during Sunday's start against the Houston Astros. Rogers has been unbelievable on the mound and the Astros had no answers for him on Sunday. He tossed seven innings, allowing one run on five hits while striking out a season-high nine batters. Rogers has allowed one run or less in six straight outings. He'll take an outstanding 1.40 ERA across 13 starts into his next outing against the San Francisco Giants. If available, fantasy managers should scoop up Rogers ahead of his next start. |

Thu Jul 17 | 12:31 | Orioles Unlikely to Trade Trevor Rogers, Felix Bautista |
The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal reports that it's unlikely that either left-hander Trevor Rogers or closer Felix Bautista will be traded at this year's deadline, according to a source briefed on the team's plans. The Orioles are listening on Rogers, but he's under control for one more season, and the Orioles plan on contending in 2026. The 27-year-old Rogers' debut with Baltimore last August was rough and led to him being sent down to the minors. He then began the 2025 season on the injured list, while outfielder Kyle Stowers, who the O's traded to Miami in exchange for Rogers last year, became an All-Star. But since May 24, Rogers has a 1.53 ERA with an expected ERA of 2.94. Bautista missed all of 2024 due to injury and has gone 1-1 with a career-high 2.41 ERA, a 1.04 WHIP, 18 saves, 48 strikeouts and 20 walks in 33 2/3 innings pitched. |

Tue Jun 24 | 01:42 | Trevor Rogers Spins Eight Scoreless Innings in First Win |
Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Trevor Rogers blanked the Texas Rangers over eight innings in his team's 6-0 win on Monday. The former first-round pick scattered three hits -- all singles -- and struck out four to earn his first win in three tries. Rogers was recalled last week and yielded five hits and three earned runs over 2 1/3 innings to a hot Tampa Bay Rays team, but was much better against the lowly Rangers. That's not to take away from the New Mexico native, however, as he boasted an excellent 2.79 xERA and .218 xBA against coming into this start after shutting out the Red Sox over 6 1/3 innings in a spot start (May 24). His next turn in the rotation will likely come against Tampa Bay again later in the week -- this time at home. |

Wed Jun 18 | 14:31 | Trevor Rogers Called Up and Starting on Wednesday |
The Baltimore Orioles announced on Wednesday that they recalled left-hander Trevor Rogers from Triple-A Norfolk and optioned left-hander Grant Wolfram to Norfolk in a corresponding move. Rogers will start Wednesday's game against the division-rival Tampa Bay Rays. The 27-year-old southpaw made one spot start back on May 24 for the O's and threw 6 1/3 shutout innings with no walks and five strikeouts in a no-decision against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. The Rays are middle of the pack in OPS (.712) on the year and won't be an easy task for Rogers, who had posted a 5.46 ERA and 1.55 WHIP with 26 strikeouts and eight walks in 29 2/3 innings over seven starts for Norfolk. Needless to say, Rogers will be a risky fantasy stream on Wednesday. With Cade Povich (hip) on the injured list, Rogers should make multiple starts in Baltimore's rotation. |

Fri May 23 | 13:22 | Trevor Rogers Likely to Start Game 2 of Doubleheader |
MASN's Roch Kubatko reports that left-hander Trevor Rogers has been called up by the Baltimore Orioles from Triple-A Norfolk to serve as their 27th man for a doubleheader against the division-rival Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park on Friday, and he will likely serve as the spot starter in Game 2. Fantasy managers shouldn't consider the 27-year-old southpaw as a very tempting streaming option against Boston, especially since he could be deployed as the bulk reliever after opening the 2025 campaign on the injured list with a knee injury. The former 13th overall pick by the Miami Marlins in 2017 struggled last year after being acquire in a trade with Miami and was demoted to the minors. Rogers hasn't been good in five starts with Double-A Chesapeake and Norfolk, either, sporting a 7.71 ERA and 1.65 WHIP with 18 strikeouts and seven walks in 16 1/3 innings. |

Tue Apr 22 | 18:55 | Trevor Rogers To Make Rehab Appearance On Wednesday |
The Double-A Chesapeake Baysox announced that Baltimore Orioles left-hander Trevor Rogers (knee) will make his first minor-league rehab appearance for them on Wednesday against the Double-A Altoona Curve. Rogers has been rehabbing from a subluxation of his right knee that he suffered way back in January, and he's now ready to pitch in games as he attempts to make his way back to the Orioles' starting rotation. However, the 27-year-old southpaw is expected to need a lengthy rehab assignment that could stretch well into May. Even when Rogers is deemed fully healthy, there's no guarantee he'll have a rotation spot waiting for him at the big-league level. The former first-rounder by the Miami Marlins in 2017 had a rough 7.11 ERA and 1.84 WHIP in four starts for the O's late last year and was eventually shipped to the minors. |

Wed Apr 16 | 18:07 | Trevor Rogers Could Return Before End Of May |
Baltimore Orioles left-hander Trevor Rogers (knee) will face live hitters in Sarasota, Fla., next week and could return from the 15-day injured list before the end of May, according to general manager Mike Elias. Rogers is working his way back from a subluxation of his right knee and might not be far off from going on a minor-league rehab assignment. The 27-year-old southpaw, who was a former 13th overall pick by the Miami Marlins in 2017, was acquired in a trade with Miami last year to bolster Baltimore's starting rotation. The former All-Star was a disaster in his four starts for the O's, though, going 0-2 with a 7.11 ERA and 1.84 WHIP in 19 innings, and was eventually sent to the minors. With minor-league options remaining, there's no guarantee that Rogers will rejoin the team's big-league starting rotation when he's recovered from his knee injury. |

Mon Mar 10 | 17:37 | Trevor Rogers Still Playing Catch On Flat Ground |
Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports that starting pitcher Trevor Rogers (knee) is still limited to flat-ground work but hopes to be throwing off a mound by the end of camp. The former first-round pick suffered a knee subluxation back in January but has fortunately continued throwing despite the injury. Meyer notes that the lefty's ramp-up could be quicker since he's been playing catch all spring, and his arm is in a good spot. Still, he'll have to get his knee right before he can toe the rubber again. Rogers pitched poorly last season as a member of the Miami Marlins and was even worse once being shipped to Baltimore in July -- registering a 7.11 ERA and an 0-2 record in 19 innings pitched with the club. Cumulatively, he was 2-11 with a 1.58 WHIP and 4.92 ERA in 25 starts. |

Thu Feb 13 | 12:28 | Trevor Rogers Won't Be Ready For Opening Day |
MASN's Roch Kubatko reports that Baltimore Orioles left-hander Trevor Rogers (knee) injured his right kneecap in January and won't be ready for Opening Day in late March. Specifically, Rogers suffered a subluxation of his knee last month and is weeks behind schedule with spring training kicking off this week. The 27-year-old southpaw only made four starts due to injuries in 2023 and wasn't very effective in his 25 starts last year, going 2-11 with a 4.92 ERA (4.52 FIP) and 1.58 WHIP with a 97:56 K:BB in 124 1/3 innings pitched for the Miami Marlins and Orioles. Not only was his velocity way down, but Rogers had a weak 17.3 percent strikeout rate and 10 percent walk rate. He was even demoted to the minors for a bit to work on his mechanics. Rogers worked to regain some velocity this offseason, but now another injury has gotten in the way. Fantasy managers in mixed leagues should be avoiding him on draft day. |

Wed Dec 4 2024 | 14:14 | Trevor Rogers Looking To Regain Velocity |
Baltimore Orioles left-hander Trevor Rogers, who as acquired in a trade from the Miami Marlins last year, was sent to Triple-A Norfolk after four mostly ineffective starts with his new club. It was a big fall for Rogers, who had a 3.17 ERA in his final nine starts with the Marlins. He had a 7.11 ERA in his four starts for the O's. Rogers was an All-Star as a rookie in 2021 but admits he was overwhelmed in his move to Baltimore in 2024. The veteran lefty did have a 2.96 ERA with 28 K's and six walks in 24 1/3 innings in his final four starts for Norfolk, though, and he is going to a player performance data-driven center this offseason for further evaluation to try and regain some velocity. Rogers averaged 94.5 mph on his fastball in 2021, but it was down to 91.9 mph in 2024. The 27-year-old is focusing on getting his lower half stronger as he looks to bounce back in 2025 with the O's. |

Thu Aug 22 2024 | 12:52 | Trevor Rogers Optioned |
The Baltimore Orioles optioned left-hander Trevor Rogers to Triple-A Norfolk and recalled left-hander Nick Vespi and activated infielder Emmanuel Rivera in corresponding moves. The O's also optioned Colin Selby and Livan Soto and recalled Matt Bowman in a series of moves on Thursday. Since Rogers joined Baltimore's starting rotation in a questionable trade that sent infield prospect Connor Norby to the Miami Marlins, the 26-year-old left-hander has posted a 7.11 ERA while allowing 16 runs (15 earned) on 25 hits (two homers), walking 10 and striking out 12 in 19 innings pitched. Rogers hasn't gone beyond five innings of work since June 21 and will now head to the minors to work on some things before rejoining the O's when rosters expand in September. Rogers has gone 2-11 overall in 2024 with a 4.92 ERA, a 1.58 WHIP, a career-worst 13.3% strikeout rate and a career-high 11.1% walk rate. |

Thu Aug 1 2024 | 14:24 | Trevor Rogers To Make Baltimore Debut On Thursday |
Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Trevor Rogers is set to debut with his new team on Thursday evening as the Orioles face the Cleveland Guardians. Rogers was traded to Baltimore on Tuesday afternoon in exchange for infield prospect Connor Norby and outfielder Kyle Stowers. This season, the southpaw has posted a modest 4.53 ERA, 1.53 WHIP, and a 46:85 BB:K ratio across 105 frames. However, in his past five outings, he has not allowed more than two runs in each of the starts and posted an overall 3.38 ERA and 1.42 WHIP. The 26-year-old could be worth holding onto in deeper leagues during the second half as he should be in line to receive several wins pitching on a competing Orioles team but should remain on your bench this evening and faded in DFS as the Guardians currently boast one of the sport's top records. |

Tue Jul 30 2024 | 14:02 | Trevor Rogers Traded To Baltimore |
Miami Marlins starting pitcher Trevor Rogers is being traded to the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for infield prospect Connor Norby (O's fifth-ranked prospect) and outfielder Kyle Stowers, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. Rogers has posted a 4.53 ERA and 1.53 WHIP through 105 1/3 innings of work this season. However, across his last five starts, Rogers has not allowed more than three earned runs and carries a 3.38 ERA and 1.42 WHIP. While he does boast a strong 47.0% ground-ball rate, he has a low 18.0% strikeout rate and a hefty 43.5 hard-hit rate. Rogers will likely slot in at the back end of the Baltimore rotation, which may force Albert Suarez into a bullpen role. |

Sun Jun 9 2024 | 19:36 | Trevor Rogers Tosses Quality Outing |
Miami Marlins starting pitcher Trevor Rogers looked strong on the mound during Sunday's game against the Cleveland Guardians. The left-hander allowed one run on two hits over five innings of work. Rogers struck out five batters while walking four in what ended up being a no-decision for him. He should keep the good times rolling in his next start against the Washington Nationals. |

Wed May 15 2024 | 18:28 | Trevor Rogers Tosses Five Scoreless Innings |
Miami Marlins starting pitcher Trevor Rogers posted a solid outing during Wednesday's game against the Detroit Tigers. The southpaw threw five shutout innings, allowing three hits, and a pair of walks in the win. Rogers has struggled throughout most of the season, but hopefully this performance will help him get back on track. He recorded six strikeouts in this game, which is his most since early April. Rogers will take a 5.79 ERA, 1.76 WHIP, and 37/19 K/BB ratio into his next start against the Milwaukee Brewers. |

Tue Apr 16 2024 | 14:57 | Trevor Rogers To Start Series Finale For Marlins |
The Miami Marlins will be starting left-hander Trevor Rogers on Wednesday in the series finale against the San Francisco Giants. A.J. Puk was in line to start on Wednesday afternoon, but the left-hander is dealing with an illness so will not start. Rogers has started three games for the Marlins this season and is 0-2 with a 4.80 ERA as he's pitched 15 innings allowing nine runs, eight earned while walking eight. |

Sat Mar 2 2024 | 13:42 | Trevor Rogers Could Make Spring Debut Tuesday |
Miami Marlins left-hander Trevor Rogers could make his Grapefruit League debut on Tuesday after looking strong in a live batting practice session in camp on Thursday. Rogers was limited to only four starts for the Fish last year due to multiple injuries, but he appears to be healthy now and is in line to be part of the team's Opening Day rotation. "The velo was good. The secondary was great," manager Skip Schumaker said. "We really didn't know what that was going to look like because it has been a while. He was throwing 93-94 mph in a setting with not much adrenaline. To see that and to see the changeup thrown for strikes and the slider was good. A lot of positives." Fantasy managers should leave Rogers undrafted and take a wait-and-see approach with him early in the year as a potential waiver-wire pickup. |

Sat Feb 17 2024 | 13:24 | Trevor Rogers Healthy To Begin Spring Training |
Miami Marlins starting pitcher Trevor Rogers (lat, biceps) is healthy as spring training gets underway. The 26-year-old lefty was limited to just four starts and 18 innings last season due to lat and biceps injuries. He compiled a 4.00 ERA during those four starts, but he was coming off a disastrous 2022 season in which he put up a 5.47 ERA, 1.505 WHIP, and 106:45 K/BB over 107 innings (23 starts). Rogers was the runner-up for the National League Rookie of the Year back in 2021. His fastball sits in the mid-90s, and he can induce a lot of whiffs with both his slider and changeup. Miami manager Skip Schumaker told reporters that he expects Rogers to be a big part of the team's rotation that will be without ace Sandy Alcantara (elbow), who underwent elbow surgery back in October. Rogers is an interesting post-hype sleeper name in fantasy due to his past success. He could be a steal late in drafts if he can stay healthy and regain his rookie form. |
