Fri Sep 509:18Jazz Chisholm Jr. Hopes to be in the Lineup Friday
Testing on New York Yankees infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr.'s knees came back clean, and he hopes to be in Friday's lineup against the Toronto Blue Jays, Brendan Kuty of The Athletic reports. Chisholm injured both of his knees while fielding a ball on Thursday and exited the game in the fourth inning. At this time, it's unclear precisely what was being tested in his knees, and the team has not released any additional details since Chisholm was initially diagnosed with contusions. However, when reporters spoke to Chisholm, it appeared he is ready to play Friday and shouldn't be in danger of missing any time. For now, he is labeled as day-to-day, and Jose Caballero entered the game for him in his place. Chisholm is slashing .238/.360/.571 on the season with 28 home runs, 26 stolen bases, 68 runs scored, and 70 RBI.

Thu Sep 421:08Jazz Chisholm Jr. Exits With Knee Contusions
New York Yankees second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. (knees) exited their game against the Houston Astros on Thursday with contusions on both knees, according to the Yankees. Chisholm suffered the injuries on different plays. He appeared to injure his left knee when applying a tag to Jose Altuve in the bottom of the third inning. The 27-year-old stayed in to hit in the top of the fourth, but after he struck out, the Yankees brought in Jose Caballero to man the keystone in the bottom half of the inning. Chisholm missed all of May because of an oblique strain, but he has been an integral part of the Yankees' lineup when healthy. Over 108 games and 449 plate appearances, Chisholm has slashed .242/.339/.499 with a career-high 28 homers, 70 RBI, 68 runs scored, and 26 stolen bases. He's not someone the Yankees or fantasy managers can afford to lose down the stretch.

Sat Aug 3012:07Jazz Chisholm Jr. Reaches 25-Homer, 25-Steal Milestone
New York Yankees infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. didn't get a hit in Friday night's 10-2 blowout win over the hosting Chicago White Sox, but he still managed to reach a noteworthy milestone for the season. Chisholm went 0-for-3 with two walks and two runs and also stole a base to reach the 25-homer, 25-steal mark in his first full season in pinstripes. It's the first time that the 27-year-old has accomplished the feat in his sixth MLB campaign. Chisholm is now hitting .240/.339/.490 with an .829 OPS, 26 long balls, 66 RBI, 65 runs scored and 25 steals in 103 games played in 2025. He's been running wild of late on the basepaths, going a perfect 11-for-11 on steal attempts in his last 17 games. In 25 games in August, he's gone 19-for-85 (.224) with eight homers, a double, triple, 17 RBI, 20 runs and 11 steals. Chisholm's move to the Bronx has most certainly been a plus for his overall fantasy upside.

Sat Aug 2311:11Jazz Chisholm Jr. Sitting on Saturday
New York Yankees second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. is not in the lineup for his team's game on Saturday against the Boston Red Sox. Jose Caballero will take his spot at second base and bat eighth against Red Sox left-hander Garrett Crochet. Chisholm Jr. is slugging just .323 against left-handed pitching (compared to .522 against righties), which could explain the day off. After acquiring Caballero and Amed Rosario at the trade deadline, the Yankees now have a pair of right-handed hitting infielders who can step in for Chisholm Jr. against tough lefties. The 27-year-old should be available on Saturday off the bench as either a pinch-hitter or pinch-runner.

Sat Aug 911:21Jazz Chisholm Jr. Out of Saturday's Lineup
New York Yankees second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. is not in the starting lineup for his team's game against the Houston Astros on Saturday. Jose Caballero will take his place at second base and bat eighth against Astros left-hander Framber Valdez. Chisholm Jr. has struggled so far in August, hitting .154 with eight strikeouts in 28 plate appearances this month. He also holds just a .329 slugging percentage against left-handed pitching for the season, which could be part of why he's getting the day off against a tough lefty in Valdez. Chisholm Jr.'s season-long slash line of .237/.329/.461 with 19 home runs and 14 stolen bases is still very solid, so this is likely just a scheduled day off for the 27-year-old.

Wed Jul 923:38Jazz Chisholm Jr. Leads Yankees to Victory
New York Yankees infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. led the team to a 9-6 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday with his latest standout performance. Chisholm connected on two homers - a solo shot and a two-run blast - to finish 2-for-4 in a four-RBI night. Now up to 17 HRs on the season, Chisholm has been on a tear for over a month. After missing all of May with an oblique strain, Chisholm returned June 3 and has since gone 36-for-114 (.316) with 10 dingers, 26 RBI, 20 runs scored, and four stolen bases in 31 games. Overall, the 27-year-old is slashing a career-best .251/.346/.530 with 43 RBI, 37 runs, and 10 steals across 255 trips to the plate. Chisholm ranks in the top 7% of the league in xSLG and has a chance at his first 30-HR season.

Tue Jul 814:05Jazz Chisholm Jr. Moving Back to Second Base
New York Yankees infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. is making a permanent move from third base to second, manager Aaron Boone announced. Chisholm will start Tuesday's game against the Seattle Mariners at the keystone, while Oswald Peraza will handle third. Chisholm played his first 30 games of the season at second before going on the 10-day injured list with an oblique strain on May 2. Since coming back on June 3, all 29 of Chisholm's appearances have come at the hot corner. While DJ LeMahieu has gotten the bulk of the work at second, the Yankees have a better defensive alignment with Chisholm on the right side of the infield. Peraza and LeMahieu could each see time at third, but they'll likely serve as placeholders until the July 31 trade deadline. The Yankees are all but guaranteed to swing a deal for an established third baseman before the end of the month. The Diamondbacks' Eugenio Suarez, the Rockies' Ryan McMahon, and the Pirates' ... Sun Jul 613:12Jazz Chisholm Jr. Sitting with Shoulder Injury
New York Yankees second/third baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. (shoulder) is out of the lineup due to a sore shoulder. Bryan Hoch of MLB.com noted that Chisholm has been dealing with this injury for several weeks, and it has affected his throwing more than his hitting. While this injury does not appear to be serious, fantasy managers should expect the Yankees to occasionally keep him out of the lineup to provide him rest. Over his last 11 games, Chisholm has been one of the most productive hitters in the sport, launching five home runs and adding two doubles. The 27-year-old should be expected to return to the starting nine on Tuesday when they begin a series against the Seattle Mariners. This afternoon, Oswald Peraza will cover the hot corner.

Mon Jun 3002:04Jazz Chisholm Jr. Tallies Four RBI
New York Yankees second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 12-5 win against the Athletics. He also walked and drove in three more runs with a triple -- his first of the season. Chisholm Jr. has been electric since returning from a neck injury in early June. Across the 22 games since, he's slashing a robust .318/.379/.600 with six long balls, four doubles, four steals, 14 runs scored, and 18 RBI. Furthermore, the 27-year-old has garnered playing time at the hot corner recently and made a few solid plays from there in their win against the A's. He should notch his second consecutive 20-20 season in short order.

Sat Jun 1418:22Jazz Chisholm Jr. Returning on Saturday
New York Yankees infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. (groin) is back in the starting lineup ahead of Saturday's game against the Boston Red Sox. Chisholm will make his way back into the lineup after missing two games due to a groin issue. It appears a few days of rest has helped as Chisholm is back in the mix now. He'll cover third base and bat fifth versus right-hander Hunter Dobbins on Saturday. Chisholm has been hot with the bat in June, so fantasy managers better make sure to get him back in their lineups.

Fri Jun 1317:06Jazz Chisholm Jr. Still Out on Friday
New York Yankees third baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. (groin) remains out of action for Friday's series opener against the division-rival Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. Oswald Peraza will make another start at the hot corner and will hit ninth against Red Sox left-hander Garrett Crochet. The oft-injured Chisholm was pulled early Wednesday's game due to left-groin tightness and sat out of Thursday's series finale against the Kansas City Royals as a result. The 27-year-old is now out for a second straight game, and while he's considered day-to-day for now, it's easily something that could land him on the injured list if he's unable to return soon. Peraza is a big step down offensively from Chisholm and should be avoided for DFS purposes in the nine-hole against a tough starting pitcher on Friday night. Peraza has gone just 17-for-102 (.167) on the year in a bench role with three homers, 11 RBI and 13 runs.

Thu Jun 1217:34Jazz Chisholm Jr. Sitting Out With Groin Injury
New York Yankees third baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. (groin) is out of the starting lineup for Thursday's series finale against the hosting Kansas City Royals after being pulled from Wednesday's game with left-groin tightness. The previous day, the 27-year-old left the contest prematurely with neck tightness, so it's not much of a surprise that he's out on Thursday. Oswald Peraza is starting at third and batting ninth on Thursday against Royals right-hander Seth Lugo. For now, fantasy managers should consider Chisholm to be day-to-day and check back to see if he's active for Friday's series opener in Beantown against the division-rival Boston Red Sox. Peraza, who has hit .170 (17-for-100) with three homers, 11 RBI and 13 runs scored this year, would become the team's primary third baseman if Chisholm requires another stint on the injured list.

Wed Jun 1122:44Jazz Chisholm Jr. Leaves Wednesday's Game Early With Groin Tightness
For the second straight night, New York Yankees third baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. (groin) left the game early on Wednesday, this time departing with left-groin tightness in Kansas City against the Royals, according to Newsday's Erik Boland. Chisholm left Tuesday's game early with neck tightness but was in the starting lineup a day later. The 27-year-old was replaced at the hot corner by Oswald Peraza in the bottom of the fifth inning after going 0-for-1 with two walks. It's unclear how serious his groin injury is, but we'd expect him to be held out for Thursday's series finale in KC. If Chisholm lands on the injured list for the second time this year, Peraza would be in line for regular work at third in the Bronx. Chisholm came into Wednesday's game hitting just .215 but with nine homers and 10 steals in 130 at-bats. He doesn't make a ton of contact, but he's in the 90th percentile in barrel rate and has plenty of power/speed upside.

Wed Jun 1118:34Jazz Chisholm Jr. Returning on Wednesday
New York Yankees infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. (neck) is back in the starting lineup ahead of Wednesday's game against the Kansas City Royals. This is great news after Chisholm was forced to exit early on Tuesday due to neck tightness. It appears his removal was precautionary and he's ready to go on Wednesday. Chisholm will cover third base and bat fifth versus left-hander Kris Bubic. Fantasy managers can safely get Chisholm back in their lineups on Wednesday.

Tue Jun 1022:50Jazz Chisholm Jr. Leaves Early on Tuesday With "Neck Tightness"
New York Yankees infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. (neck) left Tuesday's game early against the hosting Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium with "neck tightness," according to the team. Chisholm was replaced in the seventh inning at third base by Oswald Peraza after he stole a base in the sixth inning. The 27-year-old went 1-for-4 with a double, a run scored and a strikeout in addition to his 10th steal of the season before leaving in the eventual 10-2 victory. We should know more about Chisholm's status after he's put through tests, but hopefully he won't need a second trip to the injured list this year. Peraza would be the obvious candidate to see additional playing time at the hot corner in the Bronx if Chisholm misses any more time. Chisholm came into Tuesday's game hitting just .214, but his power/speed combo in New York's potent offense makes him fantasy relevant in all leagues.

Fri Jun 623:07Jazz Chisholm Jr. Stars in Win Over Red Sox
New York Yankees infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. delivered a brilliant performance in a 9-6 win over the Boston Red Sox on Friday. Chisholm's biggest contribution came with two outs in the first inning, when he crushed a three-run, 417-foot homer off Red Sox right-hander Walker Buehler. That blast gave the Yankees a 3-0 lead that they would never relinquish. Chisholm later added two more singles and a pair of stolen bases in a 3-for-5, four-RBI night. The 27-year-old missed all of May with an oblique injury, but he has made up for lost time since returning June 3. In four games since then, Chisholm has gone 8-for-16 with two HRs, six RBI, and three steals. He's now batting .223/.326/.471 with nine HRs, 23 RBI, and nine SBs over 141 trips to the plate. The left-handed hitter will face a challenging test Saturday with ace Red Sox southpaw Garrett Crochet on the hill.

Tue Jun 313:13Jazz Chisholm Jr. to be in Tuesday's Lineup
New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone said that infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. (oblique) will come off the 10-day injured list and be in the starting lineup on Tuesday for the contest against the Cleveland Guardians for the first time since April 29. Chisholm will be facing Guardians right-hander Tanner Bibee. The 27-year-old left-handed hitter is expected to move to third base full time in the Bronx with Oswaldo Cabrera (ankle) expected to miss the rest of the season. He went 3-for-9 with a stolen base in three minor-league rehab games with Double-A Somerset. Before injuring his oblique, Chisholm was hitting just .181 (19-for-105) but with seven home runs, 17 RBI, 17 runs scored and six stolen bases in his first 30 games. Chisholm is an everyday player in one of the best lineups in baseball, and his power/speed combination makes him fantasy relevant in all leagues.

Sun Jun 116:22Jazz Chisholm Jr. Could Return on Tuesday
New York Yankees infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. (oblique) could be activated off the injured list as early as Tuesday, according to manager Aaron Boone. Chisholm started a rehab assignment on Thursday and has been playing well. If he remains healthy through Sunday's game, Chisholm will likely rejoin the Yankees on Tuesday. The Yankees have a scheduled off day on Monday, and begin a series against the Cleveland Guardians on Tuesday. Chisholm was hitting the ball well before suffering an oblique injury in late April. He'll be a must-start player once he's back in the starting lineup.

Thu May 2917:21Jazz Chisholm Jr. Starting Rehab Assignment on Thursday
New York Yankees infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. (oblique) is scheduled to start a minor-league rehab assignment with Double-A Somerset on Thursday, according to MLB.com's Bryan Hoch. The Yankees are considering having Chisholm play third base when he returns to the big leagues, so he's likely to play the hot corner on what is expected to be a short rehab assignment. The 27-year-old has been out since late April with a right-oblique strain, but manager Aaron Boone said Chisholm should be MLB-ready by next week. Oswaldo Cabrera (ankle), who had been serving as New York's starting third baseman, is unlikely to return this season after suffering a serious ankle injury. Instead of moving veteran DJ LeMahieu to third, it appears the Yanks are more comfortable using Chisholm there. He was hitting under .200 at the time of his oblique injury, but Chisholm's power/speed combination makes him worth rostering in all fantasy leagues.

Wed May 2820:25Jazz Chisholm Jr. Could be MLB-Ready Next Week
New York Yankees infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. (oblique) could play in minor-league rehab games by the end of the week. Manager Aaron Boone said it's possible that Chisholm will be major-league-ready at some point next week. The 27-year-old left-handed hitter took hacks at Double-A Somerset on Tuesday. He's almost four weeks removed from a strained right oblique and is ahead of scheduled after an initial timeline of four to six weeks. Depending on how Chisholm looks in the minors, he might only need a few games before the Yankees are comfortable activating him from the 10-day injured list next week. When he returns, he should man second base regularly, which will likely push DJ LeMahieu to third base. Chisholm was hitting just .181 (19-for-105) at the time of his injury with seven homers and six steals, but his power/speed combination gives him plenty of fantasy upside in the Bronx.
