San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Trevor McDonald looked sharp on the mound during his first career start on Sunday. McDonald had a tough challenge ahead of him against the Los Angeles Dodgers lineup. Despite that, McDonald was up to the challenge. He tossed six innings, allowing one run on six hits while striking out three batters. McDonald tossed six scoreless innings before the Dodgers were finally able to put something together against him in the seventh inning. He figures to get one more turn in the rotation which would come against the Colorado Rockies. McDonald is looking like an appealing streaming option for that one.

McDonald recently made his MLB debut when he gave up two runs on three hits over two innings of work last Tuesday. Before being recalled, McDonald was working as a full-time starter in Triple-A. That being said, McDonald should be able to handle a full workload, assuming the Giants want to do that. Otherwise, Tristan Beck could be in the mix to pitch as well on Sunday. McDonald won't be a recommended streaming option for Sunday's slate.
