The slugging first baseman came up to the majors for a brief period, but his swing and miss issues were on display with a 41.8 percent strikeout rate. The 26-year-old did slug four homers in that time and continued to hit the ball hard when he did make contact. There's a good possibility Elko returns to the majors before the season ends, and he's a decent option for fantasy managers looking for cheap power in deep formats and AL-only leagues.

He has flashed his massive power all season at Triple-A, however, with a 116.7 mph maximum exit velocity and 49.6 percent hard-hit rate. His power upside makes him intriguing enough to consider as a deep-league waiver-wire addition if he were to return to the majors.

Given his impressive start to the campaign, Elko could carve out a role in the Chicago offense. For now, fantasy managers in 15+ team formats should consider adding Elko, given his early-season success at Triple-A.
