Wed Aug 622:48Tim Elko Goes Deep on Wednesday
Chicago White Sox first base prospect Tim Elko went 1-for-3 with a home run and three RBI in Wednesday's 6-0 win against Triple-A Syracuse. Elko was activated from the IL and optioned to Triple-A Charlotte on Monday, and didn't wait long to get back to doing damage at the plate. He's now up to 19 homers and a .315/.385/.610 slash line in 270 plate appearances at the level. The quality of contact is excellent for Elko, with a 52.6 percent hard-hit rate and 12.8 percent barrel rate. The slugging first baseman came up to the majors for a brief period, but his swing and miss issues were on display with a 41.8 percent strikeout rate. The 26-year-old did slug four homers in that time and continued to hit the ball hard when he did make contact. There's a good possibility Elko returns to the majors before the season ends, and he's a decent option for fantasy managers looking for cheap power in deep formats and AL-only leagues.

Fri Jul 1121:36Tim Elko Heads to Injured List
Chicago White Sox first baseman Tim Elko (knee) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Friday. Elko was removed during the first game of Friday's doubleheader due to right knee soreness. Before game two, Elko was placed on the IL with a right knee sprain. He went 0-for-1 in his lone plate appearance and figures to miss a few weeks now. In a corresponding move, outfielder Will Robertson has been recalled from Triple-A Charlotte to take the spot on the active roster. Elko isn't someone that needs to be rostered in fantasy formats right now.

Fri Jun 2700:44Tim Elko Drives In Three on Thursday
Chicago White Sox first base prospect Tim Elko went 1-for-5 with a double and three RBI on Thursday against Triple-A Toledo. Elko has gone 10-for-42 with two homers since returning to Triple-A Charlotte on June 14. The slugging first baseman struggled to make consistent contact in his 18-game stint with the White Sox, striking out 38 percent of the time. He has flashed his massive power all season at Triple-A, however, with a 116.7 mph maximum exit velocity and 49.6 percent hard-hit rate. His power upside makes him intriguing enough to consider as a deep-league waiver-wire addition if he were to return to the majors.

Wed Jun 418:24Tim Elko Rejoins Big-League Roster
Chicago White Sox first baseman Tim Elko was recalled from Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday. Elko was recently optioned to the minors after going 5-for-31 with three homers during his first stint with the team. He'll return to the White Sox roster with Lenyn Sosa (hip) heading to the injured list. Elko has been hitting well in the minors and deserves a fair shot at the MLB level. He figures to see fairly regular playing time. On Wednesday, Elko will cover first base and bat sixth versus right-hander Sawyer Gibson Long.

Fri May 919:52Tim Elko Set To Join MLB Roster On Saturday
The Chicago White Sox are expected to promote first baseman Tim Elko to the MLB roster prior to Saturday's contest against the Miami Marlins. Elko has yet to appear in an MLB contest. Through the early part of the 2025 campaign, the Ole Miss product has been swinging a hot bat at Triple-A Charlotte. Across 31 games, Elko has posted a stellar .348/.431/.670 slash line with six doubles and 10 home runs. During this stint, Elko tallied 23 RBI and scored 20 runs. Last summer, Elko also enjoyed success at Triple-A, holding a strong .289/.361/.472 slash line across his first 48 games at the level. Given his impressive start to the campaign, Elko could carve out a role in the Chicago offense. For now, fantasy managers in 15+ team formats should consider adding Elko, given his early-season success at Triple-A.
