Wed Aug 623:42Lake Bachar Picks Up Save on Wednesday
Miami Marlins reliever Lake Bachar closed the door on a 6-4 win over the Houston Astros on Wednesday to earn his second save of the season. Calvin Faucher and Ronny Henriquez have been the Marlins' top choices for saves this year, but they were unavailable for the ninth after pitching earlier in the game. Henriquez threw a scoreless seventh with one hit allowed and three strikeouts on 20 pitches to collect his 16th hold. Faucher gave up two hits and a walk in a 25-pitch eighth, but he struck out one and managed to keep any runs from scoring en route to hold No. 6. That left the ninth to Bachar, who yielded a two-out single to Jose Altuve but retired the other three hitters he faced and struck out Christian Walker to end it. While it was a positive outcome for the Marlins and Bachar, the team's lack of a go-to closer is hardly ideal for fantasy managers.

Sat Jul 521:50Lake Bachar Earns First Save
Miami Marlins relief pitcher Lake Bachar was called upon with a two-run lead in the ninth inning versus the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday. Normally, Bachar isn't used as the closer, but Ronny Henriquez and Calvin Faucher had already pitched in this game. Bachar didn't have any problems as he retired the first three batters he faced to earn his first save of the season. It seems like a closer by committee type of situation in Miami right now, which makes it a headache for fantasy managers. Henriquez seems like the favorite for saves, so he's going to be the pitcher to roster out of anyone in this bullpen.
